I'm so jealous of those of you who have got an application to offer so quickly, we are 6 weeks in and still no offer. Nothing unusual about our circumstances, <80% LTV, borrowing 2.5 x our salary, no dependents both full time employed, porting a recently closed mortgage product which seems to be the thing making it so slow. Keep checking the forums for anyone else that it's taken this long for but I seem to be the only one

Just updating- we collected our keys today 🥳🥳. Took exactly 10 weeks from viewing house to collecting the keys. I was convinced that something would go wrong but it was smooth sailing. Our timeline below:
17/05 - viewed house we loved
18/05 - had an offer accepted on house
19/05 - wage slips etc sent over to broker
22/05 - AiP from Nationwide approved (we had AiP from other lenders before viewing
22/05 - full application submitted by broker
22/05 - text confirming valuation booked for same day
22/05 - soft credit searches on credit report
23/05 - hard credit searches on credit report
31/05 - text confirming valuation all ok
06/06 - mortgage offer issued
Quiet for a few weeks - completion date set for 26/07
03/07 - asked for LISA funds to be released from Skipton
19/07 - Nationwide confirm mortgage funds released on 25/07
20/07 - missives signed
25/07 - solicitor confirmed all funds received
26/07 - collected keys
I will keep my fingers crossed for everyone still waiting

Our current situation is:
Application via broker 26/9 (text confirmation same day)
Hard credit check 26/9
Valuation booked 27/9, apparently for same day
My broker asked for my last payslip - I assume I’ll be asked for more documents at some point?
