Please can I ask, for those of you applying directly to Nationwide (with advice from them, not online) how long has it taken to get an appointment please? The rest of it, fingers crossed, looks like it's happening very quickly!
  • We are completing tomorrow and got a text through yesterday to say the money will be transferred to our solicitor today if that’s not too confusing. It was good to hear.

Nationwide have been pretty good at keeping us up to date.

Hope everything went smooth for you.

Do you know if Nationwide completed another credit search in your name during the final stages in addition to initial soft & hard searches?
  • @Spbsss I completed on Friday and Nationwide haven’t completed any further searches that I can see

Hi, has anyone recently had an offer accepted by Nationwide?

    Our timeline:

18/05 - we had an offer accepted on house
19/05 - wage slips etc sent over to broker
22/05 - AiP from Nationwide approved (we had AiP from other lenders before viewing
22/05 - full application submitted by broker
22/05 - text confirming valuation booked for same day
22/05 - soft credit searches on credit report
23/05 - hard credit searches on credit report

That's is so far - it seems to be moving along quickly but just wondering how long it is likely to drag on for? We are hoping for a quick move in date as there is no chain at either end.

    Hi,

We are in exactly the same position with you in regards to timeline.

Once hard credit searches are complete and valuation is arranged does this mean the mortgage is approved subject to valuation?

    Thanks

NW seem to book valuation on receipt of the application, even before the underwriting stage.

I’m in a similar position. Mortgage submitted last Friday, valuation done on Monday. Text advising valuation report received on Tuesday. Haven’t heard since then.

Yep, they did the hard search on the Saturday (day after application).
