I noticed that people have said that they know where they are in the process (eg valuation accepted, financials approved). My MB hasn't provided me with any information at all and I'm beginning to think they are a bit useless. Should I contact NW directly and find out where I am in the process? Will they tell me?
DIP 6 May
full application 9 May
Hard credit search 9 May
Survey 17 May
Request additional payslip (that they already had) 18 May
Second hard credit search 27 May (with 9 May one removed from Clearscore)
Query something on payslip 30 May
Radio silence0 -

I can save you the time though, if you replied to them on the 30th with the response to the payslip query, using their current timelines, they will tell you that you are due for an update on the 21st of June. Given that the turnaround times on the 30th of June was closer to 10 or 11 days, you may well hear sooner than that. I had a response over the weekend a couple of weeks ago too, so they are pulling extra hours.
Assume an update on the 21st, and take anything else as a bonus.0 -
I don’t think I’ve ever managed to speak to someone within half an hour of calling so up to you if you want to sit on hold for some time! I’m at 40 minutes right now to speak to someone again - it said 3 minutes when I first rang. Seriously wish we’d gone with a different lender even at a slightly higher %.0

I'm at 30 mins and I've given up. I'll just continue to wait and hope they don't come back for another piece of paper before the SLA is up a week today. I seem to be lucky, I've only been waiting four weeks

The last thing I heard was on 26th May to say they had received my valuation report. Is it normal to hear nothing else for 2+ weeks? I HATE this 😭Debt was £15,903 😬 Now £2718.14 £0 😲🥳0

Hi all,
I'm a long time lurker of this thread, just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience.
Applied direct through MA on 18/05
Valuation 27/05
Nothing until 08/06 when I had two messages, first saying valuation received and second saying valuation accepted.
MA emailed shortly afterwards to say offer had been issued (hooray).
No text or email for offer so rang up, apparently the system had an issue generating the offer so it now has to be keyed manually. Has anyone had this before? How long did it take?
Did try phoning in yesterday but they weren't much help and said it was being looked at but couldn't say much more e.g. timescale etc.
Underlying issue is apparently to do with how we are porting (non simultaneously), and the system can't cope with it.0 -
@greencat80 I haven't heard anything from them at all since the 17 May. They have been in contact with my MB twice to ask for further information, but they don't provide any guidance on timescales, other than the SLAs and everytime they ask a question or request a piece of paper you go back to the bottom of the queue and back into day 1 of the SLA. If its any consolation it appears that some people get their offers quickly - I'm assuming this is because they got through automated underwriting. The rest of us are probably waiting for a human to underwrite because our cases are less straightforward. At least that's what I'm telling myself!!1

We received our mortgage offer this morning in the post.
Interesting observation - our offer is subject to us clearing our MBNA credit card with a balance of approximately £8200.
Our current balance on that card is £0. The credit limit is £8200. No doubt this will turn into some kind of drama having read some of the comments on here.0
