We're out! Our mortgage broker just let us know nationwide have declined us... Not 100% on the actual reason but I guess it's back to the drawing board with us.Life is too short not to love what you do.0

Me too @hanmoe, my broker has just got in touch to say the underwriter wants statements for one of my accounts which is a bit annoying because they had them on application. I guess I'm at the back of the queue again now 😭Debt was £15,903 😬 Now £2718.14 £0 😲🥳0

Our specific broker is on holiday today but his colleague is overlooking his accounts so suggested we try Halifax as she did a DIP with them and we got a straight approval... However... They were who I got the CCJ with originally... So I'm not sure we should go that way.... Once bitten twice shy!Life is too short not to love what you do.0 -

Have applied for the Helping Hands mortgage at 90% LTV.
23/05 had offer accepted and applied for DIP
23/05 offer referred due to missed shopping acc payments by my partner over a year ago
25/05 referral went through, requested a months payslip each, proof of deposit and one month bank statement for ME only
09/05 full application in with MA
12/05 valuation survey appt
16/05 email from MA stating application is with underwriting and valuation report has been received
21/05 hard searches appeared on transunion and equifax
24/05 call from MA saying he had chased and Nationwide had a backlog. Should hear by this Friday either way...
Been scanning these forums all night for the past fortnight and am absolutely exhausted. Keep looking for reasons why they would not accept at this stage. My partners credit is good/fair but they saw this at referral stage. Mine is squeaky clean. Have no debts, or outgoings other than bills and are both in full time long term employment. Saw a reply stating denial due to overdraft? We use our arranged overdrafts as and when but MA said this is no issue.
Any advice, a friendly word is more than appreciated.0 -
Good news - we had a mortgage offer issued. Bad news the builders have remarketed the sellers house they were going to buy! Today
does anyone know if the sellers will still be able to buy their new build if its remarketed? They won't sell to us if they can't!
Congratulations to everyone that has finally gotten their mortgage offers!0 -

It may be that they have lost heir deposits on the new build and may have to start the process again ?0

It is unreal, I can only hope the deposit was "small" and they can start the process again. There was no reply from their solicitors today. Thank you for the replies0
