    Hi,

I’m also currently waiting for an offer from Nationwide. We are also FTB but ours is a council house Right to Buy. Property value £219,000 discount deposit £84,600 so applying for £134,400.

    Timeline so far:

20/1 - Application referred. Normal for a Right to Buy. Soft search carried out.
    21/1 - DIP Accepted.
25/1 - Full Mortgage application submitted
26/1 - Text confirmation from Nationwide of application.
    26/1 Valuation arranged for 27/1
27/1 Valuation carried out and text from Nationwide later same day confirming they had received the valuation report.

So far no hard searches have shown on our reports.

    Now it’s a waiting game!
This worries me as I've had no text from Nationwide to say they've received the valuation report even though I was told by the company doing the valuation on behalf of Nationwide that it will be sent to them the same day. I'm now wondering if they haven't received it? I've had text updates previously but it's been quiet since.

Thought I’d throw my 2 pennies in.

    4th Dec DIP
18th Jan offer accepted on a new build
18th Jan updated DIP as first ran for different figures.
Appointment with Nationwide advisor on 4th of Feb.

My completion date is the 18th of August so I have to be really careful with my application date but have to exchange by the 15th of March.

I’m panicking a bit about overdraft usage and my credit report but trying to put the fear out of my mind for now. I was asked for 3 payslips and gifted deposit form that’s it so far.

    oh I’m 21 % LTV FTB, borrowing £138950

@Rosco32  Could you contact them to confirm if they have received it? I received a text and an email but my MA contacted them the following morning for an update,
    unaware we had received these.

I’m nervous as we have already been declined by NatWest. This was due to an internal marker on my partner’s RBS file for a write off in 2016. We were in an IVA 2009-2014, completed that year, but for some reason it wasn’t written off for another 2 years so fell within the 6 years and mortgage declined. Wasn't expecting something we cleared 8 years ago, that doesn’t even show on credit files, to have an impact on our mortgage application! RBS have not been at all helpful with what looks like an admin error in when the write off was placed on his file.

Nationwide have different IVA rules; the above was an internal marker with RBS and NatWest being linked, so this shouldn’t have an impact this time, but I’m still not confident! I’ve heard nothing since last Thursday.

Fingers crossed for you the whole thing is so stressful. I have a satisfied loan default due to drop off this June. Multiple payday day loan and missed payments 2019 and before.

Last 2 years perfect credit history but have been in and out of an overdraft whilst saving.

    It’s so scary.

Just had an email from my Mortgage Broker this morning. It has gone to offer stage and that will be sent out today. Panic over!

That's awful I'm sorry you are experiencing this. If your credit files are clean, then I would like to think another provider other then RBS/NatWest would be able to help just fine? FYI I noticed that Nationwide did the hard search on me almost a week after the full application went in and they searched TransUnion and Equifax. My Experian report updated today, which I checked. No soft/hard searches on it. Fingers crossed for you :)

    Hi,
Our mortgage broker has just submitted our mortgage application through Nationwide today, for our new build property. How long roughly would you say it takes from mortgage application to mortgage offer?

What is difference between standard case and refer case? If we go through with broker, is it called refer case?

A refer case is when the DIP is referred, they have to look into it before they will accept. That’s my understanding
