Yes, so our timeline was:
Early December: AIP (can't remember exact date as we held off doing mortgage application, due to vendors buying a new build and wanting the mortgage offer to be valid for as long as possible after exchange, as they want an early exchange of contracts with no fixed completion date)
17th December: Full Application submitted20th December: Text received re. Valuation
21st December: Valuation done
22nd December: Hard searches showed on credit reports
22nd December: Received from Mortgage Broker stating that the valuation has been approved
6th January: Received request from mortgage broker for further information (completed gifted deposit form), which was submitted to Nationwide on 7th January
14th January: Text message to say mortgage offer has been issued0 -
Has anyone got an experience with recent document review lead times please?
Our purchasers have been 'waiting' for nearly a month for a marriage certificate to be verified. They needed a final ID check due to a recent marriage, this was sent 10 working days ago, they've chased and have no been told to wait an additional 5 working days! They haven't used a mortgage advisor, so are going alone, i think this could be the problem.
Am i being lied to?0 -
I have an AIP with Nationwide, approved on a new build property, application to go in 2nd week of Feb. I’m wondering do I get a broker to put the application in? Is there any real benefit of using a Broker if I have done the AIP myself? I’ve talked to two Brokers, one says save yourself and do it yourself plus he doesn’t see any issue with it 2nd one said let me do it and charges £250 fee.I’m not bothered about a fee I just want to know Is it easier to get a Broker to do it.0

Applied for my Nationwide Helping Hands Mortgage on the morning of the 25/01, directly with through bank via their video apt. Advisor hasn’t flagged any concerns even though I’m requesting the max my salary will allow, that’s £177k (£250k purchase price with £73k deposit). Thankfully my AIP sailed through and my full application has not been referred to the underwriter my advisor said.
I got a message first thing this morning to say that they’ve confirmed my valuation and survey is to be carried out on the 01/02 which is only next week, I’m hoping this means that it will be a fairly quick process but who knows. Just concerned about not getting the helping hand as I need 5.5x my salary to afford the property I want!
Is there any way to tell when they’ve carried out the hard credit search? I’m signed up to Martin Lewis’ Credit Club but don’t think it’s ‘live’ data on there.0 -
I'm part way through my application waiting to get valuation sign off stage but need to submit some further evidence that I won't have for a few weeks. My mortgage product reservation expires next week -12 weeks after first applying. When it expires can I just pick a new product under the same application without resorting the whole process? I assume a lot of purchases take longer than 12 weeks?0

On my DIP from Nationwide it states to send the listed documents at time of the full mortgage application. All that is listed is latest payslip for me and my partner.
Does that mean that they don't need bank statements or any other evidence? Just seems a bit unusual that a payslip is all they are asking for and curious to know if the listed documents on the DIP showed as different for anyone else.0 -

Our DIP only requested my most recent payslip (joint application with joint incomes).
Since this has been verified/approved, the tracking portal states that there is no documents outstanding / any further required 👍.
what stage is your application at has it generated an offer?0
