  • Really hope that everyone gets sorted soon. I had a straightforward case… applied (DIP already received) 26 Nov, valuation booked for 1 Dec, valuation and offer this morning (2nd)… then my buyer pulled out..

Still no notification of a hard credit search… but two soft searches on Friday?

Presume there is a delay before I see a hard search as I can’t see how they would not do this before providing an offer.
Oh no so sorry to read that buying is a mine field so frustrating and stressful I should hear Monday or Tuesday. I'd say your search will show eventually

Thanks - fingers totally crossed 🤞 that it moves forward with my second buyer

    Hi everyone!
Just wanted to ask for any advice.

A few notes; 80% LTV, Standard freehold sale no government scheme, I am on a fixed term contract rolling 3 years each time but have been for 7 years now, and my partner is full time permanent and has been for 6 months now.

    This is our current timeline:

2nd November - Full Application submitted to Nationwide
2nd November - Text received to say application accepted
3rd November - Text to say valuation and survey booked for 12th
12th November - valuation and survey happened
15th November - survey returned to us

We have had no communication since then, so I called Nationwide direct as my broker is away on annual leave, and they said on 25th November that a note was put in our file because a date was wrong on one of the documents (my partner had a promotion recently and so they needed a letter from his employer to confirm new salary). So i sent them the revised letter with the right date directly as my broker is away.

    Two Questions:
    1) is it ok to go round the broker to send them this document? I asked on the phone and they said it was fine but worrying I've messed things up.
    2) Why is it taking so long? they couldn't tell me on the phone but it's been a month now and our application is very simple. Perhaps I am overthinking but the anxiety is making me unwell.

    Thank you!!
    Hi

This is a my first post....

Ftb with high deposit and low mortgage. Full time employment  (low income) and excellent credit rating.

I'm in a similar situation to the above.

    Mortgage application submitted 2/11/21
    Valuation done on 5/11/21
Mortgage advisor received email asking to reduce mortgage by 2k on 18/11/21
Agreed and new form submitted on 21/12/21.

    Heard nothing...

    .I rang Nationwide 27/11/21
had no record of acceptance of new ffigure form being submitted.
Spoke with mortgage advisor they rang Nationwide to confirm original form was in process. Nationwide admitted it had been over looked. Will send directly to underwriters.

    Have still not heard anything.

I'm getting so anxious about it all. I haven't done any surveys yet or signed contract with solicitors as been reccomended to wait till mortgage approval comes through.

I hope yours comes through soon H darl....
Thank you! I hope yours comes through soon too. It’s always comforting to know you’re not the only one who is waiting, it’s such a painful process!

When I called they said it takes 6 days to look at a document so I’m hoping we will find out next week.

    Fingers crossed to us all!!

Definitely easier to hear others in similar positions. Puts the nerves at ease for a little time.

It's the waiting for me....each stage seems to be so long winded....as a FTB I feel so inexperienced so want answers yesterday
    ha ha

Fingers crossed for us all.  :#

U and me both I feel your stress hun its drove me mad I'm counting down the days
  • Morning - So nice to virtually find people in the same boat.. FTB. Offer was accepted 26/10/21

We had our valuation done on Wednesday 01/12 (Finally after 2 previous cancelled slots!)
Eagerly anticipating the text to confirm offer on the way.

We had already had an offer via HSBC on a house that was £10K less - the sale fell through due to time wasting sellers who just did not actually want to commit to move!
Assumed it was going to be straight forward to have the offer moved to a new property - it wasn't they declined us, due to the updated payslips having more commission - than the previous ones we originally submitted. Baffling!!

Broker suggested Nationwide but after having a rejection from another lender - I am now super anxious.

Good luck all - fingers crossed.
  • The wait is just so stressful . Any offers received today ?
