My mortgage application so far
FTB with H2B and 5% deposit. Applied through a broker10/11 - DIP approved
10/11 - Soft search appeared on the credit file
16/11 - Full application submitted along with documents. Confirmation text message and email received from Nationwide.
17/11 - Soft search appeared again on the credit file (subsequent credit search)
17/11 - Received a message from Nationwide confirming the valuation has been booked in for 23/11
19/11 - Update from the broker, document checks completed and application accepted subject to valuation
19/11 - Valuation delayed because the site was closed on the 23rd. Rescheduled valuation for 30/11. Text message and email received from Nationwide confirming the new valuation date
26/11 - Hard search appeared on the credit file
29/11 - Text and email from nationwide confirming valuation report received and few minutes later received another email and text confirming offer issued
Very pleased with the timescales. If the building site wasn't closed for the first valuation appointment the whole process would have been completed in a week's time. It was a very anxious times for us and good luck to all with your application0 -
We have put in new app as our previous purchase fell through, the broker interest is higher than on nationwides website. Only slightly but would there be a reason for this0

Just got the three texts, does this mean we've got the mortgage at the amount we requested? Been really worried about downvaluation!0

Was surprised to get it after 6pm, still don't want to get excited in case their offer isn't 100% of what we wanted due to downvaluation.0 -

I asked my mortgage broker to change the rate. It took just under a couple of weeks to go through the queue to be processed again and it reoffered on the new rate.0 -
