    Afternoon All,

FTB 90% LTV in Northern Ireland applying directly to Nationwide. Progress so far:

    26th May: DIP accepted
    23rd June: Offer accepted
    24th June: Full application submitted
5th July: Email received to say mortgage application approved

I still have not received an update regarding the valuation or survey (full building survey), so assuming the application has been approved subject to valuation; Has anyone else experienced this and am I correct?

    Many thanks,
    R
Following on from the above, mortgage was approved subject to valuation on 5th July.

The valuation has been booked for 20th July, however Countrywide have been a disaster regarding the survey, which I paid for via Nationwide when submitting the mortgage application.

A week has been wasted and I have been messed about regarding false promises and a surveyor on their panel not accepting the survey as apparently the fee is too low. I can’t be the only person in Northern Ireland to have wanted a survey carried out by / via Countrywide!

Very frustrating and extremely poor service from Countrywide.

We haven't heard anything from the valuation either, I've just assumed it was ok! Our DIP said the house needed to be valued at  a certain amount and I'm fairly confident it will have been.

  • Nationwide didn’t disclose the valuation to us in the end! Kind of wished they had but the mortgage offer just states the purchase price. We got the offer so didn’t worry too much but would have been interested to know.

Just a little update on our application. We've been asked to submit our savings statement in a different format as proof of the part of the deposit that's not coming from the sale of our house. Our savings are in NS&I and they only do one statement per tax year as standard so I've had to request an interim one which I should be able to download tomorrow.

    Hi Guys
Here our time line. We are using a broker to remortgage from one lender to Nationwide. I think the broker is being optimistic with the value of the house to try and push it under the 75% LTV bracket:
23rd June supplied all docs to broker
24th June text received application received
27th June soft credit search credit karma
28th June call to book valuation on 14th July
4th July hard search credit karma

If they reject our valuation and come in under, what's the likely options?

Had the valuer here this morning. Lovely lady who chatted for 30 or so mins.

We have then been asked for clarification on a payment direct from salary, coincidence?

The valuer was from Valuenation, anyone had any experience?

    Thanks
    Re-mortgaged Oct 2021 £385459 Originally ends Oct 2049
    MFW 22 - 2385/3830
    Current daily interest 16.22
    Current end date Jul 2049

Our valuation report came back & it was £10k under the asking price! So we’re now waiting on the vendors to come back on if they’ll accept the lower offer. Very disappointing as we loved the house!

Has anyone been in the same situation? And how did they get on?
