FINALLY! After 5 long weeks of waiting we got our offer today!
Our timeline if it is helpful for anyone was:
13th April - application submitted
14th April- text from NW to say received
15th April - text from NW to say valuation booked for the 28th April
28th April- NW text to say they received the valuation report and would be in touch.
5th May - hard search done
20th May - broker received confirmation of mortgage offer and forwarded us a copy ahead of paper one in the post.
So relieved! Feel like I can relax now and start to feel excited haha! 🤣 I hope everyone else gets good news soon.1 -

It took so long because one of the figures was imput wrong so it had to be re-keyed 🙄 otherwise it would have been the 6th May apparently. Still, got there in the end 🤣
@Bessant31 congrats again, exchanging contracts!! I hope its all plain sailing from here for you @C_N_ , and everyone still waiting!1 -

So decided to do a little follow up this morning with our IMA - they instantly replied saying Nationwide are asking for this months payslip (which won’t be issued until next week) and additional proof of deposit of our HTB ISA (which a statement was already submitted) so they’ve cancelled our valuation pending these documents Yay! Happy Friday!
Great news to everyone who’s offers have come through!0 -
@catclaires Don't know if you decided to call NW again today, but not sure it will make much difference. I called earlier (mainly because I was getting annoyed seeing stories of people applying this week and already having offers) and was told 'I can see this was escalated on Wednesday, they have a 48 hour turnaround once escalated so it will be Monday they come back with a date or update'. CW haven't contacted the EA so I'm not holding my breath on Monday either, very annoying as once again was confirmed everything that can be done is done, just waiting on CW.0

@kkcoco I did decide to - I had the same jealousy about these nice quick offers - and unsurprisingly got pretty much the same story! I swear when I phoned on Tuesday, it was 'Friday at the latest', but today it's turned into 'a 4-day turnaround, so Monday' - pfft. One thing that may be of interest to you and a few others on here with similar issues: apparently, they've been told today of a technical issue from the valuer side, which has delayed around 3200 accounts, and notes are being added by the valuer to these affected accounts today saying that they will be working to get through the valuations as soon as possible and will prioritise the older applications, under which ours does fall! Supposedly there is no such note on mine as yet, but NW did say that it seemed likely from the delay that it is one of the ones that has been affected - so you do wonder if we're all in the same boat. Anyway, there 'should' be a call to book the appointment on Monday (will believe that when I hear it), and I'm to ring back on Tuesday if we've heard nothing by then. So, I guess we'll all be phoning back on Tuesday
@TheTruemansindeed! I can't believe they actually cancelled the valuation! You do feel like tearing your hair out at times - and this is only relatively near the beginning
I do hope they can get it rebooked within a sensible timeframe.
Congrats to everyone who's got their offers - it's great to see that they do eventually happen. Hope everything else goes smoothly for you all!0 -
Crazy to hear about the delays in getting valuations booked. Our valuation is meant to be today by the date we've been given and I wonder if it's actually going to go ahead given the delays! We got our valuation booked the same day we submitted the application but have had to wait about 10 days for the actual valuation to take place. I didn't realise but our MA works for CW which may be why it was done so quickly as she submitted for us? Unsure what the difference is but seems odd some are having to wait so long for valuations!
Fingers crossed you get it sorted ASAP.0
