Well I've not had a date and now been told by my MA that they are working on the backlog and will update everyone by Friday this week. Absolutely fuming 😡😡😡😡

Oh dear, so much for the 88% within 10 days then! Really sorry to hear that guys, I'm guessing mine is earlier as its a desktop (EA heard nothing so must be) and not a physical valuation, so theoretically not having to wait as long.
Hope there's some good news for everyone by the end of the week

    Hi All,
Application went in through MA on 13th April, we have today received our offer. The offer has an error in that we are being ask to repay all of a PCP finance when it was declared we would repay £4000 to bring payments down by £200 to meet affordability criteria. This was evidenced and accepted by the underwriters.
Our MA has now gone back to explain the error - is it likely this will be dealt with quickly or is it going to be subject to their 5 - 6 day processing times?
We had this issue when they initially requested evidence of settled debts however the application was re keyed and they accepted the evidence of payment of £4000.

Just a quick update , not had a date yet but had a letter this morning dated yesterday from Connells saying they have been instructed by Nationwide to complete the valuation and homebuyers report so at least something is happening 🤞

@kkcoco am keeping my fingers crossed that all went well with your desktop valuation this morning!! I can totally see the worries about the next-door house not being comparable etc - hope they can apply some common sense - wonder if they'd actually look at RightMove photos and so on, in which case the differences should be obvious.

I phoned NW today again and got nowhere - just confirmation that there's now a note on my account saying that my application was one of those affected by the valuation IT issue (they couldn't tell me this for sure on Friday) and that they're working through the backlog as quickly as possible and hope to have it booked in the next few days, blah blah blah, but no timescale can be given at the moment - grrr. Have wondered about applying somewhere else but feel as if this wouldn't be a good idea if the NW valuation booking really will be done in the next few days, given that everything else is supposedly approved.

Let's hope we all hear something at some point this week! Now I've just got to stress about our current house valuation, which is happening tomorrow :#

Thought I'd share our timeline, particularly for those waiting on valuations. I was initially quite disappointed in the service considering we have been NW customers for years but you'll see that things turned around really quickly in the end.
7th May: Full application submitted (direct through website)
    7th May: Valuation instructed
14th May: Request for additional documents (this was really annoying as I had already sent them on the 7th and should have called them about it but instead I re-sent them which reset their timeline to process them)
21st May: Additional documents finally processed and on speaking to NW by phone they picked up we were one of the cases whose valuation was affected by the fault. Escalated by email by advisor.
24th May: Text to say valuation was being carried out on 24/05/2021 (same day).
Within half an hour, further text received to say they had received the valuation report and literally one minute later we had a text to say an offer was being issued!
I feel like they're genuinely trying to process those with delayed valuations quickly as that was some turnaround! Obviously was a desktop valuation too but this might provide a little reassurance (hopefully) for those just waiting on valuations.

It was such a stressful process but fingers crossed for everyone waiting on outstanding valuations and offers.
