Been watching this thread and congratulations to everyone who has had their approval. Me and the other half applied in the 7th had the hard search in credit report done yesterday. We have date back for the survey and home buyers report. Chased yesterday and was told there will be a date by the end of the week 😳. Been told all paperwork has been accepted. Should I start harassing them more for the survey date?0

Hi all,
I was stalking this thread almost hourly after we submitted our application, so thought it only right to play my part now! A timeline of our application:
07/05 - MIP & Full application submitted.
**literally no texts/emails in between, chased to check things had been received and Nationwide confirmed**17/05 - Text saying valuation had been received, quickly followed by another text stating that an offer had been issued!
20/05 - Offer received via post!We are existing Nationwide mortgage customers so not sure if this helped speed up the process. We were only asked to provide 1 months payslip each.
All the best to those still going through the process, it can be an extremely anxious wait!0 -
Hi @Strella321 I'm a Nationwide customer too and had hoped that would help me - one of the sole reasons I applied via Nationwide but nope, still waiting on Valuation date to be booked despite being told everything else is done.
Congrats to you, I hope you are very happy in your new home0 -
Hi @kkcoco and @Strella321 nationwide customer here too but that doesn't seem to make much difference🤷♂️.
We're in the same boat where it's just getting this pesky valuation completed. It's just frustrating as everything else from solicitors nerc has moved really quickly and smoothly.0 -
Hi, Does anyone know if 3 persons can jointly apply for a mortgage? My family is a first time buyer so we are looking at including our son who is over 22 yes old as we are both in our 50s.0

Am I right in thinking by looking at these comments there is a delay in valuations? I put my mortgage application in last week and still haven't received the valuation date text.
How long have you all been waiting for this?

Hi @Shannonhall My valuation was automatically instructed on the 8th May when I applied, chased with NW yesterday as no valuation booked still despite seeing hard credit checks were done on 17th and EA asking what was happening. Chap who I spoke to said Valuations should be booked within 6 days so mine was overdue, sent email to Countrywide but told they usually take 2 days to respond. Spoke with EA today, they have still had zero contact from CW to organise and no update on my file when I look online.
It seems to be widely dependant on area perhaps. People who applied a day before me got their valuations completed and offers 3 days ago.0 -
Am in the same boat here, with an identical timeline to kkcoco - and patinstoke too! I think it is area dependent too. I'd say it is worth getting in contact with NW (as we all did) if it's gone beyond the 6 working days since your mortgage application, as NW should then chase up Countrywide. I guess the effectiveness of such chasing is still TBC, as it seems that none of us have heard anything further yet! I'm thinking I'll phone again tomorrow afternoon if there is still silence by then - it does seem a bit ridiculous to be waiting so long. Fair enough if Countrywide are really busy and we have to wait a while for the valuation to be carried out, but I'd at least like to have the date booked in - surely it can't be that hard to do that! Our EA hadn't said anything, but I decided to update them today to tell them the situation and that I'd followed up with the lender, as I didn't want them/vendor wondering what was going on and thinking no progress was being made...
Good to hear from some on here who have had quick turnarounds - congrats on your offers! It does give us all hope!0 -
