I just think they don't have a decent system in place. It seems that should they have a query or question your instantly back of the queue again. They've seen a big rise in demand just dont think they're set up to cope with it.kathonetwo34 said:
Can't believe it what could possibly be taking so long I know it's a lot of money and with covid there is added risk but it's a yes or no why does that take monthsTonyw193 said:

Agreed but after Lloyds they are the biggest mortgage provider in the UK, so why aren't they set up to cope?Tonyw193 said:

Totally agree, i think they're rather happy to allow you to wait a long with gradually increasing their Intrest rates for FTB. Its shocking that they're allowed to get away with it and put peoples lives on hold. Buying a house should be an exciting experience but this is anything but.citygurly said:

I have regular calls from estate agent for ‘updates’ each time they push asking why it’s not done and that the vendors have a new build waiting for them... I honestly wish I could tell them what nationwide are up to but who knows!mh_ww said:EA emailed to say vendor is wondering what's going on.. first thing I've really heard from them since the application went in other than a couple of emails I sent to say I still existed. I really hope NW deliver soon.
pretty sure at one point they even doubted we had applied for the mortgage!!First time buyer (FTB) - 90% Loan to value (LTV)
Nationwide Application01/09 - confirmation of application being received
11/09 - Alert from Clear Score of hard check being carried out
25/09 - Spoke with Nationwide via 'web chat' box on their website and they confirmed our documents hadn't been reviewed yet
27/10 - request for payslips (even though they were provided to our broker at the beginning of the application)
31/10 - Mortgage appointment with Barclays to explore Springboard mortgage options0 -
Same, our vendors estate agent are understanding of the situation (the vendors have moved out and aren't in a rush to complete), our estate agent on the other hand are chasing us up on progress every other day, I have told them that as soon as I hear anything they will be the first to know obviously! Today they asked for my MB's number to speak direct to him. They rung him and he confirmed what I had told them. They are being a bit annoying to say I will be paying them, not our buyer!!hburnett163 said:
