After weeks of lurking, I've finally joined add my voice to the tales of woe on here. We are now at day 30 and haven't even had a hard search (just a soft one back at the beginning of the month). The vendor's estate agents are chasing me every day and I honestly think they are close to putting it back on the market - we are holding up the entire chain. I don't know what to do, it's so stressful and as 10% buyers I think this is our one and only roll of the dice at the moment. If not, we have to be out of our rental by February and not sure what we will do from here - rentals are few and far between in our area. It's taken us years to save up nearly £30,000 and I just feel so exhausted. The only contact we've had requests for further documents which we have provided on the same day every time. Our broker said he thought we should hear something further today but I don't hold out any hope anymore. I feel so much for each and every one of you on here who are going through this too. I feel like if it's taking months for them to process mortgages then maybe they need to pause applications for a while to catch up.
Sorry, just a bit of a rant really. Fingers crossed everyone has positive news soon.0 -

Just spoke to the Nationwide chat for an update as hadn't heard anything since they received the valuation report over 2 weeks ago. Just said they still have to verify the documents still. Did say I passed the vetting stage on 29/09- but not sure what this means!
If it helps (but is probably standard response) he said that 'the Mortgage team are working hard to prioritise applications that are nearing completion' - so hopefully people will hear something soon! Does seem silly that they don't just focus on completing one application, but rather send it back to the queue after requesting new docs! Good luck all0 -
