So, we finally got an answer today. Rejection, unfortunately. Trying to get a substantial response on why but thinking of just taking a step back from it all from the moment. It's just too hard. Good luck to ever - hopefully you hear positive things soon!0

Good luck to ever - hopefully you hear positive things soon!It seems to be happening to so many people. Nationwide seem to be incredibly picky. I’m expecting a decline for ours to be honest. It just seems so awful that it took so long and that was the answer they gave you!I hope the reason isn’t anything too bad and that you get a mortgage with another lender, please don’t give up hope. There’s a lender for everyone.0 -
Thank you, our broker said he couldn't see any particular reason, but thinks my self-employment and the fact that it was quite an expensive house for a FTB mortgage could have played a part (255,000 agreed price which doesn't seem crazy to me but 🤷♂️), also that they are just in a position where they can be really, really picky.GN2020 said:

Another house bites the dust for us due to a down valuation and the seller not wanting to renegotiate.
Fuming.
