Morning all,
Just popping in to say hi. Frugal head still on and lots to do today. Take care friends xx8 -
Morning,
Bed made, clothes picked up
Bathroom tidied
WM on
Last of yesterday's 3 load of washing ironed/folded and put away (washing basket now under control)
Popping into work late morning then out for lunch with boss and colleague (best friend too) who is leaving
Cat to vet this afternoon for her very matted fur.
Need to bully DD2 to write her internship report, have tried suggesting and motivating without success so now she is going to be told that she won't be coming with me next week to see family with little ones unless she has done it. OH has said we aren't leaving for our holiday until she's done it. I feel a big sulk coming on, but how do you motivate a 21 year old?
Time for coffee to motivate me!

Good afternoon 😁
I have just caught up with the thread.Valli I have always thought I am better suited to country life rather than the town (which is what I have!), but I couldn't be a farmer - too many early mornings! And you have described my favourite food - stew and dumplings 😋 its a shame my lot don't eat it!
YL yes, it is lovely to have a wedding to look forward to - next year thankfully! And we managed to book it for Oct 21 in February, before covid and before all of this year's unfortunate couples tried to rebook!
I was woken up this morning by DD2 as she wanted a lift to work. I took the opportunity to go for a run! I have decided that I am so unfit that I will try the couch to 5k app to help me improve. I chose Sarah Millican as my coach 😁 and I have started on week 4, as we're 3 and 5 minute runs, rather than 90 seconds! I need to shift some of this weight - I actually feel heavy around my tummy area, and I hate it!
I am now showered. WM is on, and I have had an early lunch. I am going to the allotment for an hour or so after I have hung the washing out.
Hugs, sticks & spoons to those that need them. Have a good day everyone!6 -
Been to work, come home to take cat to the vet but the little whotsit has disappeared. Embarssing phone call made to vet to cancel, luckily they were most understanding and told me to call back when I've found the cat.
Better get on with some chores then

Dishwasher emptied and reloading started, bank phoned as cheque hasn't appeared on account. I am assure it will show up today. They are still on short hours and are closed before free parking starts in the afternoon.
Washing on line now it's brightened up.
Boss dropped by yesterday with gifts including a gin-making kit which I am very keen to try.
I am twiddling my thumbs rather than actually being productive,

Afternoon all.
I have
- been to town for coffee and a few other bits, as soon as the shop opened at 8.00
- S&S'd the kitchen
- dusted and hoovered through upstairs
- cleaned the bathroom
- found 2 pot plants in the bathroom which I had forgotten to water yesterday
- booked lunch for 12.30 tomorrow at our local GC for me and my Greek friend : she said "Yes" but then rang me back 20 minutes later to say that the window cleaner might be coming tomorrow, so she wasn't sure.... I don't want to cancel now in case she is able to come, and I don't want to cancel at the last minute (not fair on the GC), but if I don't know until 12.00 whether or not she's coming, it's too late to invite anyone else. DH would normally jump at the chance of lunch out, but he has an appointment at the GP surgery at 12.30. Grrrr.6 -
so.. we got home last evening.. fed cats, ate food and went to bed!
Today I managed to eat an apple...
I have spent an hour on a video chat discussing the new sensory processing pathway, an hour chatting to DD2, probably the longest conversation I have ever had with her. put both washers on.. to rewash the stuff I washed on Sunday and asked this lazy lot to hang out.. They had not done anything I had asked them to.. 3 adults and 5 tasks and not one was done! I was not happy!
I am trying to persuade myself it is a waste of time to do the online access course with a view to uni next year.. it is 10 years since I last went and things are much more stable now.. but you know those spanners and how they like to make things as difficult as possible.. I'm just bored.
Best go feed some small people.. before they start eating cats!

Busy again today, but I gave just spent the last 45 minutes with a sleeping puppy on my lap, so that's made the day OK again.
I have taken delivery of 1001 parcels today, planned new chicken pens with DH, been on a dog walk, put recycling and wheelie bin out and brought back in when they were emptied, read all the football AGM notes and associated press cuttings, sent eleventy hundred emails to parents about grassroots football restarting in September, opened a Pre-loved account, moved recently hatched chicks to the brooder, ordered an industrial-sized incubator (£££ cry), tidied dining room, taken receipt of the first bulk delivery of dog food and stashed it in the freezer, popped a chicken pie in the oven ready for dinner in an hour or so and just now off to check again on the chicks - my first Ayam Cerami chick hatched yesterday and it is sooooo cute!
Might take a cuppa with me!7 -
I started to really wilt at about 9:45 but I managed to watch celeb master chef to the end, washed up the stuff that needed hanwashing, followed by cat dish and recycling, wipe round inc. hob, and tidy, emptied bins not yet done, inc. kitchen bin and put black bin out. Put rabbits to bed , prime DW and WM.
Not it sure about list for tomorrow...have a couple of ideas percolating.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
