Thank you, Weekend Willi, for sweet talking me into finding some mojo out of nowhere. I got drenched twice at the allotment, left without picking anything, but did dig some potatoes, shallots and planted yet more leeks. Ensuite then cleaned, as I had nicely evaded that list during the week, and bathroom given a s&s. Hm pizza dough and focaccia is now brewing for dinner, WULTD, wiped up the grossness that someone had spilt on the kitchen floor and thoughtfully left to dry for muggins here to clean up, HHI, and another load of washing hung indoors.
I have a cuppa in hand, next stop sewing machine to finish making DH 2 more facemasks that I cut out yesterday but ran out of time to sew. I think that if I sit and knit, I might just fall asleep.5 -
Well done Fayolle on finding your mojo.
Jazee, you did exactly the right thing - after all, Sunday is a day of rest!
I "went to church" this morning to hear that we shall be meeting in our building from next week. Very much in two minds about it.
I cleared out the bottom drawer of my filing cabinet and flung various bits of old paperwork, some of it dating back to our old house which we left in 2013.
Before lunch I managed an hour's weeding in the garden, and after lunch I mowed the lawn. That wore me out, so I have spent the last couple of hours sofa surfing. Just put the joint in the oven so that it can cook while I take Rosie out for her walk.
This evening I must assemble the evidence (both photographic and written) from my six DGC and judge the various categories in the Great Strawberry Challenge that I set them. I am very impressed with their enthusiasm!
See you on the new thread. Enjoy your evening xx
And asb, I hope you'll be back with us next week x8 -

Good evening!
I haven't checked in all weekend!!
I woke at the dot of 7am yesterday (not like me!) and got up! I did run 2 of week 4 of the Couch 2 5K, and then extended it to actually do 5k so I could log a Not Parkrun. The time was slower than the last 2, but I had also done quite a bit of walking (as per C25K), so it can only improve!
Back home I showered and had breakfast and put the washing on. Mum turned up for a visit and the plan was to pop to the allotment. It started to rain as I was hanging out the washing, so we didn't bother, and I put the washing in the TD. Towels were also washed on a hot wash, so they were also tumbled. The rain was light, and every time we thought to go out it would start again! We did manage half an hour to weed and dead head the front garden.
I shredded some old paperwork, and emptied the food bin into Lottie the Hottie. After Mum left I donned my face mask and braved the supermarket. It was raining heavily by the time I came out, and continued most of the evening.
Today there has been minimal flying as we had a family outing to the zoo! Lots of steps have been done! We wanted to visit as they had struggled during lockdown, so wanted to support them. Even so - £13 for 5 magnums!!!
Back home and chilling now. I promise to do better next week!! See you all on the new thread!7 -
