2 more opticians appointments done.. Collected Squeaks and Dots new ones.. organised lens upgrades for Dots goggles to fit her new prescription. Twinkle was funny.. instead of letters she had pictures.. a duck.. scissors.. a clock.. a truck.. 'I can't say' (it was a weird looking boat)... a poo... a what?? ....a poo.... I burst out laughing.. it was a christmas tree but looked very like an emoji poo... so we continue.. a duck.. house.. a bike (small scissor pic)... an ice cream cone... a what??... an ice cream cone... it was a fish!!!
But she picked the first pair of frames she tried on. Pixie went through maybe 6 pairs before picking some .. they were all purple.
took the girls out for tea at OH's work.. figured we have all the germs from there anyway so a few more wouldn't hurt!

Morning all
i rather fell off the flying wagon with following the lists this week again, but DH has been off and has been sort of staying on top of things, and I’ve been doing bathrooms daily so the house doesn’t look too bad....
I have another long weekend... yay!
Our plan for today is to dismantle our big sofa in preparation for the new furniture, it went up the stairs in one piece but it took the 3 strapping young removals guys to do it. DH and I don’t think we can get it back down the stairs without damaging ourselves or the house so a sensible decision has been made to take it apart first. It’s very old and tatty anyway and not in good enough condition to donate.DH is still in bed, I am going to have a cuppa and some brekkie and then get myself ready to tackle sofa dismantling!!
Back later with a flying progress report x7 -
Morning xx
Thank you Fayolle and YL xx kaz - when you asked the question the answer would have been no as my hair appointment was at 5.30pm - after the paid stuff; but now the answer is YESShort hair, short hair, Woot woot. Oh I cannot tell you how good it feels. First haircut since January!!!! I've been actually counting down the days, then hours, then minutes... oh and the temptation to take the scissors to it myself, but I (mostly) resisted. Probably a good thing as my hairdresser had great 'fun' trying to undo the damage inflicted to my fringe hehe. My hair is stuck out all ways this morning - but it still looks (and feels) better than it did.
Just prodding Weekend Willi to wake her up. Are you up Fayolle? I've told WW we are on a fly-date to get her motivation stoked.
I'm up, bed is made, first brew is slurped and I've caught up with fb. Yesterday I made a meal plan for the weekend end + as DS and GF will descend arrive this afternoon and stay until Tuesday / Wednesday. I took my shopping list to Mr C00p at 9 last night which saved me having to get up and on this morning...I won't go when I think it might be busy!
Round 1 =
get washed and dressed
feed the birds
put out the rubbish and recycling
check weather forecast for weekend
breakfast
Have a good day

Morning all
Feeling quite cheery here, yoga/stretch session done, much needed after I probably overdid it a bit yesterday. Dog blankets in the wash, his crate pulled out from the cubbyhole in my office, all hoovered and cleaned.
Quick shower then studying, only have a month left to submit the last pieces of work! DH at work, DS1 off to cricket.
Really need to reorganise my little home office. Looks like I will go back into the office part time from the end of August but I will be working at home more, dont want to spend a fortune because not sure how things are going to work out but its a mess in there and I have piles of paper everywhere which means it is impossible to clean.
Happy Saturday all, thank you for getting me through to the weekend x8 -
Read the meters then spent rest of morning at the sewing machine. DH has just made me a chip butty and I'm going to spend the afternoon reading my book.Spend less now, work less later.9

How is it afternoon already? Yes, Round, I am up, but motivation flagged (tbh, did it really ever start?), and feeling overwhelmed by lists which are flying (see what I did there 😉) around in my head. The options are either to a) ignore them (tempting) and stay overwhelmed or b) write them down in a pretty notebook from the stash and get productive. I’ll procrastinate a bit more on it...
I have spent an hour or so in the gh this morning, just fiddling around as it was supposed to rain all day but hasn’t yet, done HHI, and now have a pot of rhubarb and ginger jam simmering.7 -
Round 1 completed + WUDUPA a bowl of pots, WUDU a bowl of plastic, now in recycling bin; and ignored the weather forecast - so jeans are pegged on the line and second load is swishing.
My logbook arrived in today's post - so I don't have to chase that up.
The masks I've ordered should arrive today according to my emails. Pack of birthday cards arrived yesterday. I'm creating a running list of things that need including on my next Mr M order. I am trying to be organised!. Then life happens and upskittles things again. Heyho.

Marvellous day here... Pi crossed over Rainbow Bridge this morning.. or went to Valhalla, probably the latter. Boog is utterly distraught.. Squeak has sobbed herself into hiccups and i haven't done so bad myself. So we had a funeral.
I VERY VERY slowly hung out 3 loads of washing and folded and brought in another 3.. very slowly.
We are fighting feelings today...
