It's been in the news on and off for weeks, and the verdict is always total shambles.

The news from today is merely more of the same, this time being from the environmental audit select committee.

Whether this time the government will actually get its act together and rescue the scheme is another matter - they seem keener on pulling the funding (and lying, outrageously, that it's because few people applied) than actually making it work.

Applied for grant in February called yesterday and they stated they cancelled due to me having previous funding, which was warm front in 2017 for a boiler
What were you applying for from GHGS?
I'm puzzled about GHGS referring to 'previous funding' as GHGS didn't exist before October last year.
Was it definitely GHGS you were applying to?
That can’t be true, you are allowed previous Eco grants for boilers etc, doesn’t effect this grant, there must be more to it.

Thank you for contacting the Green Home Grant Scheme. I can certainly help you with this.

I am sorry to hear that you are not eligible for Air Source Heat Pump due to previous grant from ECO Homes.

    Energy Company Obligation (ECO)

You cannot claim a Green Homes Grant voucher towards the cost of a measure which has also had funding under the Energy Company Obligation (ECO). You can claim both ECO and Green Homes Grant as long as they are each for different measures – for example loft insulation and cavity wall insulation.

I suggest you appeal, if you haven’t had funding before for the same measure which appears you haven’t.

Gov finally admit they are pulling the scheme (after weeks of rumours that they hadn't the guts to own up to):
