wasted hours and I can't even get an estimate of anyone, moneys all gone to well connected landlords and the Trustmark cowboys

I applied for the grant successfully and I have installed loft insulation 200mm and a full new central heating system total cost £50001

Existing applications will still be processed.
Mine is now over 3 months in process but I'm confident it will get approved eventually.
As for the local authorities being allocated the remaining money, LAs have a very good track record of doling out government aid for insulation, new boilers etc. That's actually (mostly) a reassuring move. If only they'd done that in the first place rather than giving the project to a profit-making US-based outfit who couldn't organise a party in a brewery.
The whole story is a sorry saga of ineptitude, but don't mis-read what's happening now. Your application will still be processed and a better scheme might (just might, nothing definite!) come out of it for everyone else.3 -

I just feel downhearted, originally got my voucher issued in December, then in February my Installer messaged me to say they've stopped completing anymore installations due to some payment issues, I then had to reapply with a new quote early March.
Heard nothing yet, I'm just hoping I don't lose out.1 -
If you read the press release on the gov site. You can still apply till 31 March 5pm, extend vouchers , etc. So if you are still waiting for the outcome you will not lose out. Hopefully once they cease taking new applications they might eventually concentrate on processing the current applications! I guess I was lucky to get my solar thermal installed last Wednesday. I have been selected for an on-site visit so waiting for a phone call to arrange this.0

Perhaps soliadam could clarify what it is they had done under GHGS.0 -
Just read this on BBC red button service lurking in the business section, applied on September 30th still nothing, gutted but not surprised by this shambolic scheme not to mention the hours wasted. Will see if they honour existing applications but I don't think so0

Here's the official wording, note the way they spin it as good news!
https://www.gov.uk/government/news/government-boosts-energy-efficiency-spending-to-13-billion-with-extra-funding-for-green-homes
The actual Green Homes Voucher Scheme (as opposed to the existing Local Authority-run version called the Green Homes Grant Local Authority Delivery Scheme) is barely mentioned in all the spin about an expanded LA-run scheme.
Though actually, as I said earlier, it just might be good news - for future applications - as Local Authorities are quite good at this sort of thing. Though there may now be means testing of some sort.
And they are still saying that all existing valid applications made before 31st March will be honoured.1
