In the spirit of Valli, we spent much of the morning playing freezer tetris. The 3 drawers of the fridge freezer and the 5 of the big freezer have had every item checked, listed and labelled. All the fish is in one drawer, all fruit in another etc. How long it will stay I don't dare guess, but tomorrow the scribbled list will be transferred to a whiteboard so we can rub things off as we use them, a system which worked well ages ago till we got lazy. I froze so much basil last year! But I love it, and none of this year's sowings have germinated.
Booked a Mr I delivery as we now know what freezer space there is.
Put a load of plants along the front of our new front fence, tricky area so we dug up a few things rampant elsewhere - Stachys, Sedum, lavender and some blue grass.
Did a load of watering.
Went for a long cycle to the wildlife trust lakes and watched birds and dragonflies.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.10 -
Morning all,
DS decided 5.15 was a fine time to get up, so here we are... WM on the go, I need to empty the DW but it's a bit noisy and I don't want to wake DD. Email sent, bank account checking next. I am working for a bit this morning but is extra money and will pay for my Aldi shop.It looks set to be a lovely day here so may bbq later. Have fab days all xxx10 -
I was awake at 4.30am, so I've looked at emails to see BT want to charge me another £7.50 late payment charge, when it was their fault they didn't set up my account correctly, so a phone call to them a bit later on.2 or 3 other phone calls to make, also to chase up where my change of address driving license had got it as it has been ages.Plumber expected at 8am! to carry on with 'works' , with his mate electrician in the afternoon, lets see how much dust they make todayLooks like the sun is going to be out today.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Morning xx
Thanks for that reminder, kaz - I haven't had the log book for my new to me car. Do you think Swansea are furloughed?
Thinking about you and DS, YL - everything here is crossed for you xx
My hair is 50 shades of grey! It's the only thing in my life that is though lol. It's still quite dark at the back (I'm told) then every shade of grey through to white side bars (which are driving me nuts and still another week until my hairdresser's appointment. I may have to ask DS to hide the scissors!)
I am thrilled that I gave Valli an idea :-) I love my DE jar tea / coffee / sugar storage. Hot chocolate will join them when I've got the sticky stuff off the jar.
Usual paid stuff day going on here, Birds will be fed, recycling will be put out. DS and GF popped in last night and will be back Sunday afternoon until Tuesday afternoon, then Friday afternoon until Monday afternoon - all I ask is that they let me know so I can meal plan. GF had baked me a cake! A full cake all for me - that's the diet blown this week then. It does taste good
Weekend Willi will be in tomorrow, It's Fridaaaay woot woot. Friday dance.

Morning everyone, sorry today's listy was late being put up. In my defence I am so tired at night lately that everything goes out of my head until the morning... Have to wait for another 2 weeks till I can get my blood tests, the Dr wants me to have them without the iron tablets in my system. I think they need tweaking but Dr thinks I have been on them long enough, although my last iron reading was just in the normal range, but that was with the tablets in my system which kind of got her thinking...hence the blood tests.
If the tests come back normal and the Dr takes me off the tablets then the only other thing that I am left with is that my ME is playing up big time again. To tell you the truth I keep avoiding thinking about it as I really don't want to be laid up with it again..although it might explain why I drop off to sleep literally an hour after waking up and pottering about. I really don't want it to be that as I know what I was like when I first developed it, but all factors are pointing to it and all blood tests are coming back normal etc.. I really don't know if I can cope with it again..but as I said everything is pointing to it if I'm realistic.
Anyway on to more happier things, I am going to try and achieve the following today:
Make the bed
Change the cat tray
Dust the living room
Clear out the cutlery drawer (I can do this sitting down!)
15 mins cutting the plants (weeds) out in the garden
One wash load, washed and hung out side to dry.
Keep wriggling my front tooth, that is really almost coming out, so that it finally does come out instead of just wriggling away...lol

Urgh....I have a hangover...I know, I know, on a school day too....first get together since lockdown with two girlfriends in the garden last night and Sarah was mixing the G&Ts rather strong!
Anyhow, got a full day planned - dayborder arrived half an hour ago and I've just finished my cuppa, so no further procrastinating!
Round - I'm jealous of your glass storage jars too! I've got so many herbs and spices that they take up an entire drawer in my kitchen. I'm thinking of asking my friend's hubby to make me a spice rack to make them a bit more accessible, but they would obviously all need to be in matching jars.
Let's go! X9 -
Term has ended, I still haven't been told whether I have to stay home or go in for a few days over the summer and, naturally, I woke up two hours earlier than I have been doing on work days this morning...
Himself is currently hammering his way through hours 37-48 of the new work regime since Monday. Funniest thing happened yesterday on his day off - I opened the door to a delivery, he took the package off upstairs and then came down looking like a New York plain clothes cop. He'd bought himself a posture corrector that he'd tried on over his shirt. Seems that my nagging him about slumping over and then complaining about his back, neck and shoulder made him think it might be worth using one to at least learn what it feels like to stand up straight. Annoyingly enough, he's now a good 3 inches taller than me before work boots go on and looks very muscular, just from standing up straight.
And just to add to the 'being shorter than him', I've been referred by Rheumatology for an urgent bone density scan because they've just realised how many steroids I took for so long, remembered my moans about back and hip pain and my Vitamin D is, yet again, below normal despite taking loads of high dose supplements. He's taking the day off work in a fortnight to be there for the train journey and will wait somewhere nearby whilst I'm busy being irradiated or whatever it is they do in the Osteoporosis Department.
However, I have
Watered the beans, peas, cabbages and courgettes (whilst glaring at the so far entirely male flowers)
Cleaned up after a cat incident
Made the bed (by the way, I now have a silk pillowcase. It's brilliant for hair, skin and feeling cooler at night).
Swished over the countertops (after earlier this week refusing to touch the kitchen until he sorted the mess from the previous day)
Dropped a pot plant when trying to save it from said cat's flying slides across the coffee table. I'm sure the cat came up just to laugh at me for that as I picked up half a ton of compost and vermiculite.
Grassed up the new neighbours for two parties that went on until 4.30am this week and were followed by arguments along the street about who had what class As, who paid for them and who wasn't sharing. Took five minutes to find the architects and client so I could contact their housing association. Seems that the entire development consists of people on Introductory Tenancies. Oh, dear.
Hugs to all that need them. I'm sort of here. Ish.

Good morning!
I am up, dressed, breakfasted, dog walked, bank accounts & emails checked, Friday money juggle done. Paid stuff today - little one is currently playing with sand while I watch him from the SHI am glad I made the effort to sort the SH out. It's a shame I can't find the guag for the rest of my house/life!!
DD2 is in the kitchen making a mess cake for my mum's best friend who was 80 yesterday. We are going to hers for a BBQ on Sunday - fingers crossed for the weather! It is not looking good at the moment
I may take a walk out with the little man to the allotment - he can have a ride in my trolley! Just to check on it, and pick anything that needs picking. I could also potter in the garden - I still have some pot bound busy lizzies & petunias to bury! He could help me.
Grumpy dog has the vets tonight, for his jabs & annual check. I'm not sure what they are going to make of his lumps & bumps
Have a good day everyone!8 -
Busy day so far - cleaned out under the stairs and rearranged so that I could fit more stuff in, office sorted out so that dil can get more baby stuff stored, reorganised wardrobe so that I could fit all my art stuff back in and art stuff relocated from the kitchen to said wardrobe! 😊 totally knackered now and I still have the house to clean and paid stuff to do! 🙈 feel better for getting it done though - I've got my grandbaby tonight so won't get much done after he arrives, to much playing required 😍
Hugs to those that need them 😊8 -
last day of term...and I am not even there
Today I shall
empty DW (2 lots of washing already pegged out)
mop kitchen floor as it is filthy due to bird-killing (cat not me)
clean bathroom
Have ANOTHER look at the DR drawers - flinging/rationalising in progress
Decide on tea and source missing ingredients
(I'm tending towards wraps)
POSSIBLY bank cheque and pick up Boots order...probably won't. I'll probably go Sunday when its quieterDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
