Round, I don't think they are off, as my log book for change of address was back very quickly, so quickly I thought I hadn't filled it in correctly, but I had and it was all correct, now filed with MOT cert, ready at hand as my car needs a MOT before the end of the month, then I can tax it (£10!) I think I am going to ring them.It seems the plumber and mate are not coming today, but loads and loads of stuff has turned up for them, so put it in the garage and refused to sign for it, as I have no idea what there should be, plus the driver wanted me to use his pen, which he has just been chewing the top off.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Morning all.
Yesterday I managed to complete most things on my list, with DS1's help. The upstairs toilet is now in working order
The bathroom has been put back together, apart from the new flooring (not yet looked for) and more flingage has been achieved
I have spent most of the morning so far sewing bunting triangles
The postman has just delivered my new curtain fabric for the study - it's lovely
We're off to the forest for lunch because it's Rosie's 3rd Gotcha Day and she definitely deserves a sausageWe'll also take a couple of bags of food to the nearby rescue centre that we got her from.
When we get home I must mow the lawn... Rosie nearly got lost in it.
Nice to have you back with us, Jojo [waves]
Hope the GP can find out what's causing your troubles, Natty.
Glad you had a good evening, Dizzy - not so sure about this morning!
(((Hugs))) to all in need xx7 -
Natty I feel for you, for two years I really struggled with an underactive thyroid which the doctors dismissed as being "just one of those things" but it had a massive impact on my life, I would be tucked up in bed at 8pm, sleep for 12 hours and still be tired. Fingers crossed I am on the right dose of medication now, but I still worry about it going wrong again. Hope you get some answers and its not the MS.
Jo-Jo I didnt know under much later just how bad steroids are for your bones and joints. DS1 took them a lot when he was first diagnosed with Crohns and after having several falls from horses he now has problems with his back which at 21 isnt great. He really needs treatment on it at the moment.
A good day here, sorted all my filing and made a big to-do list for the paid stuff which made me feel very anxious but at least I can prioritise my work next week. Had a nice catch up on the phone with my brother, lots of laundry done. Kitchen floor done first thing, HIIT class out of the way before work. Feet up now, oven needs cleaning and some clean washing still to put away, but I can do that tomorrow.8 -
Washing brought in, but not ironed.
kitchen floor mopped, bathroom cleaned dining room half clean half disasterZone
Lidl for food for tea - wraps and salad. I have this plastic container with compartments so I do a salad bar inc raw sliced mushrooms, tomatoes which no one touched sliced pepper, radish, carrot, cucumber, celery,. There was cooked chicken and coleslaw. 1.8 kg chicken on offer so might be fajitas tomorrow. And there'll still be some to freeze I think. I got 10 Posh sausages for 70p and a Thai ready meal for 70p too.
Ooh it warm

Morning all,
Up early again with DS despite him not going to bed until 9... like me, once he's awake his brain switches on and that's it for the day! The DW is unloaded and I've lit a wax melt 😋
The car is going back into the garage this morning, please can I have flylady vibes for an inexpensive fix! We are going for a walk after lunch then out for a drink! I've booked a table at the pub, I am looking forward to an actual pint 🍺🥳🥳 I'll only have the one but it'll be lovely. Right, off to separate bickering children 😏, have lovely days all xx10 -
Morning all
I seem to have lost another week in a blur of paid stuff, not back in now until Wednesday though so really looking forward to the break. Flying has been limited to the dailies so today needs to be catch up time. DH still in bed, I’m going to get myself showered and dressed and then I will be turfing him out so the bedding can be washed!
Back later with progress report, have a lovely day all x9 -
Good morning!
Yesterday I did my tax return! And its only July 😂 It usually gets done in January. I will wait a few days so it can update. I was due to pay about £680 at the end of the month, but I am hoping that won't need paying now. My whole bill for this year was £450ish, which is all NI & no tax, so I would have paid that on account last January. I might even get something back!
Grumpy dog went to the vets. She was not that concerned about his lumps - more about his breathing & heart! When he is sleeping we need to count his breaths per minute. If its more than 40, she wants to do x-rays & maybe a heart scan (£350 each - roughly). The outcome would probably mean long term medication 😕 At least it is not intrusive - I am not putting him through any operations.
I am awake, but not up. I considered going for a run, but cba! I need to put some time in at the allotment. DD1 is coming today. We have an appointment at the wedding dress shop at 4pm. She is hoping to order her dress today! It will be odd looking at her in a wedding dress wearing a mask!
I had best get moving! Have a good day everyone 😁8 -
Morning xx
kaz - I had a look on line and it says to wait six weeks before contacting DVLA about a log book. The six weeks is up on Monday - so I'm hoping the postie brings it today.
This week I've unsubscribed from several email senders and deleted circa 200 emails - that was satisfyingI've bought birthday cards for August birthdays - none in September (well, mine is but I don't buy me a card, although the occasional 'from me' gift has been known to appear
) , none in October, and then the Nov (4) /Dec ( 5) /Jan (5) birthday onslaught begins. February through to October I send 8 birthday cards!!!
I am home alone and having a lazy start to the day. Been up a while, and awake even longer. I'm fed up with weird dreams now. There are recurring dreams on a new theme this year: it's Christmas morning and I haven't bought / wrapped presents for a little DS or anyone else for that matter. I wake up upset thinking it's real. Not the greatest start to the day! But it never happened. I can't work out what my subconscious is trying to tell me. What am I not prepared for????
Bed is made and brew number one was slurped ages ago. Time for brew 2. I've checked the weather forecast and tomorrow / Monday are the best days for getting the washing dry outside - so WM won't be fed today.
Round 1 =
brew 2
change towels in bathroom
shower and wash hair / get dressed
feed birds
put out recycling
breakfast.
Hugs

I am up & dressed, had breakfast and checked emails. DW has been unstacked & restacked. I have just slurped my tea, and will now wash up & wipe down in the kitchen, with the radio on! It is not sunny today, but supposed to be dry, so i should put on the WM as well.9

I have had my workout for the day, by picking veg and watering the allotment. The wm is now running but ndn have just lit their bbq for a party, so I think outside drying may well be off the cards. DH is out for the day, meeting up with DSiL, so it is me and DD home alone. We have a bed to build and another to dismantle, so that is this afternoon’s job I think.
Everything crossed for your DS, YL. We have our last paediatric appointment on Monday before DD gets shifted up to adult oncology. Another milestone, but another worry. She too bottles it all up, but when the floodgates occasionally burst, it is devastating and I feel very helpless.Onwards and upwards. Coffee, and deal with the mountain of beans and mangetout that is on the kitchen surface. Then I can call it flying, as I will have cleared a side 😉9
