Narc0lepsy said:Tomorrow's plan:
- make 2 more masks and finish/amend the first 2. Put pleats in one. Ugh, fits better but a pain to sew as it is so thick.
- pick gooseberries and make gooseberry fool.
- do some consistent flying. Especially places I might 'show' my mum on our chat. Reasonable flying although not brilliant or extensive. I did, however, have a clothes declutter and have enough for the CS to fill a carrier bag.
- sow any seeds which are left. Very overcast and showery today so not appealing.
- do more of my online course.
- do some drum practice (still the bongos; no sign of being let into the chapel yet).
- read gas and electric meters.
- pay cc bill.
- clear various other tasks on 'to do' list from emails.
Didn't we used to be able to add replies in a different colour? I can't find it any more.
One load through DW, miscellaneous cooking and non-DW utensils washed up.
One load through WM.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.10 -
Goodintentions you inspire me to run just by mentioning it so I can't pretend I've never heard the word before.......
ditto!
DW stacked, WULTD, washing in and folded, dog walked. I also did some of my course, and about to start a webinar. I have been doing some of my tapestry as well.
Mouse man coming back tomorrow - let's see what he has to say. NN said she thinks that 'something' nibbled the bin bag last night, so they are obviously still around.....

I have done naff all today except feed animals, children and DH and his wood-chopping mate and have my hair done! All colour stripped out, leaving lots of silver "highlights"and about 4 inches cut off the length. My plan is to just let the silver take over now - one less cost going forward, which pleases me. DH says I look older, but IDGAS. I'm so low maintenance, he has simply no idea! I have friends (and a step-daughter) who spend £££s on eyelashes, nails, tanning, waxing, botox, lip fillers, acid peel facials etc. and I'm nearly 100% as nature intended. I do shave my legs though...I mean, there are standards, right?
Oh, I did remember the recycling this morning and have caught up on my emails.
Still need to take an online course in safeguarding for my new role as Club Secretary for our junior football team, but I might just sit my booty down with a cuppa, after checking the incubators, chickens and goats...8 -
Dizzy after years of being blonde I am going back to my natural colour, if its disappointing or grey I will go for a home hair colour, I quite fancy being auburn. I actually think blonde looks a bit too unnatural for me now.
Round no wonder you had weird dreams imagining a collection of Flylady bootys sitting on your stressy box
DS at hospital this morning, consultant is pleased with progress so another scan on 31 July then we find out on 7 August whether he is cancer free. He has been very quiet and said to me yesterday that he feels like life is on hold. Despite being in the big city there was no lunch or shopping trip which felt odd, guess this is the new normal now, but at least I didnt spend anything. I took the rest of the day as study leave and it was actually nice to not be thinking about the paid stuff for once.
Flying is a bit minimal here this week, not changed the beds because it never stops raining! Will catch up a bit tomorrow.10 -
I just joined to say Kaz they can be removed, you can find videos on YouTube but basically lift the skinny side panel up at the edge of the radiator and the grill pops off.

chilli con carne was lush...you could tell it was quality minced beef. But I had to use actual chillis and I am a monkey for eye rubbing. It's been uncomfortable.
ex bil has posted video of my sister on his blog so that was nice. (Stalker alert, he doesn't talk to us so I check in from time to time)

Morning all,
Just checking in, as it is grey, miserable and breezy, and I really have nothing to report. The load that I have just shoved into the wm may very well be the peak of my day’s flying. Off to work in a while for my last day of term. Usually I look forward to having an extra day free for a few weeks, but strangely enough, not this time.
Last night, I got DD (who is ginger, and would love to dye her hair) to take some brutal photos of my very grey roots and more for me to send to my hairdresser. The plan is also to ditch the blonde and other colours that have been hiding the grey for so long. DH is also not a fan of this idea.
Must stop rambling, have a lovely day all.9 -
Morning all,I have embraced my natural colour too, which is a dark 'dirty' blonde - CBA getting it highlighted anymore and the price seemed to creep up every time I went!YL I will be hoping and praying your DS is cancer free, poor lamb I totally understand why he feels like that, such a thing to live through at such a young age. Hope you're ok love xx
I did the kitchen last night so that was lovely to come down to. WM is on, everyone is eating brekkie and I have a brew. Payday today 🥳🥳 and my frugal mission is working, I've paid a lot off in just the two short weeks I have refocused my brain on my finances.Have lovely days all xx10 -
OK I'll get the polish out / or I think there is some horse saddle wax around somewhere, from years and years ago, possible shouldn't have move with it!I'll look at youtube video, but I really cannot see anywhere to pop anything off..................I'm not sure pipe cleaners are strong enough, but I have some ex lolly stick somewhere (use them for plant growing labels) so will try those, thanks all xxxYL thinking of you and your son, hope all goes ok.Today will bePossible joining a search team for a missing dog, will get my steps in / get to meet other local people / can be done at a safe distance / will get me to know the local woods better / may find the missing dog which ran off from a local camping site last night. The vol search team are mustering up at about 8.30am, but I am dubious, a load of people wandering around in an arranged fashion, call calling out the dog's name, if it is scared, and in undergrowth it is not likely to come out IMOChecking over again a couple of quotesIroningWeed pullingHave a good day all xBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles
