Morning all. Popping into York today with DH. It will be my first proper trip out since 20 March. I will report back on flying later.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
Morning xx
Wow! The power of flylady booty!!!!! Stressy Bessy has not (yet) appeared despite the fact that I woke up with a start from an awful dream. If you could brace yourselves for just after 8.30 am and then be on call until 4.30 pm that would be great
YL - there's a hug heading your way xx Would you like me to hold your colleague down whilst you f@rt in her face? It's not the most professional way of dealing with things - but I find that just visualising it can take the sting out of ouchies. Seriously though I am pleased that you have DH and DS to support you, and we are always here to cheer you on (or hold them down)
I'm sorry - I have to ask. Who's pregnant? Did I miss something? I love hearing about all my fly nephews and fly nieces - always room for one more :-) Not forgetting all the fly furbabies. How's Littleydog today, Jazee?
Flying? I'm washed, dressed, breakfasted and lunch is packed. My bed is made, and birds will be fed / recycling put out before I pootle off to the paid stuff.
Have a good day,

Morning all,
Round - given the amounts of toast and biscuits I seem to be eating I would be a useful addition to your stress box. Have a good day love xx
YL - well done I'm so proud of you. Have a huge hug from me too, if I was closer I'd come and make you cuppas all day xx
I've been lax in posting, I have been flying (honestly!), but having made the decision to clear my debt ASAP (another step towards financial independence), I've been focusing my energies on the frugal side of life. I have 45p in my bank until Thursday, thankfully we don't need anything. I have also negotiated some positive changes to work from September which will make life nicer and totally eliminate my childcare costs.
My anxiety has been playing up too, I was in the WAC last night at 4am.
Hugs to all, have lovely days xx9 -
Good morning!
Not much flying happened yesterday - a quick visit to the allotment. DH finished cutting the grass & watered, I attacked some weeds & harvested some bits. Back home the bedding was washed & bed made, DW emptied & washing up done. I called the mum of my SEN kiddie, just to check in. She has pulled her older child from school so he won't be going back in September, and she is still undecided if my little boy will be coming back. We have a teams meeting with the SEN team next Monday, so we will see what they say. This is all new to me tbh!
Early start today - I remembered to set my alarm & got up so I could be ready at 7:15, only to get a message at 6:45 to say they aren't coming until 8am! This mucks up my dog walk a little, so we will be leaving the house as soon as she arrives to walk him on the way to school. It has reinforced my decision that morning school runs and early starts are not for me!! Last one tomorrow!
YL well done on standing your ground! I hope you have a good day today.
Round I hope Stressy Bessy stays in her box!
Have a good day everyone!7 -
Morning chums! Tigger has been up and bouncing since 6am...however, nowt done, just bimbling around.
Well done Yorkie for your courage - proud of you! I have to say, I snorted my tea at Round's suggestion, but my considerable tonnage is at your disposal if you need help holding anyone down! And it's also available to provide additional booty to prevent Stressy Bessy from escaping (seriously, there's no chance she will be able to lift the lid with my bottom holding it closed!)
Boys were at school yesterday, so sensibly I wasted the day pootling around with baby chicks and internet browsing for ideas for a more creative and self-sustaining lifestyle. I did manage to get a load of washing done, so ironing most of it today.
Debt busting is on my list of "things that must be done" too ASB - maybe we can cheer each other on? I need help keeping in the straight and narrow as the magpie in me is often distracted by shiny things that I think are essential would look nice in our house!
Lots to do today so best get cracking! Love to all xxx8 -
Good morning all
I avoided the WAC last night, so I hope it was an empty club. DH has gone into work for only the second time since March. Wm is on with a load of towels but outside drying doesn’t look too hopeful at the moment. DW needs emptying, and I have 3 dreaded phone calls to make. Trouble is that I know there are 3, but true to form can only remember 2...
I think I might tackle the kitchen before DD emerges. That also nicely allows me to procrastinate about the phone calls...
Dizzy - I always had myself down to being an Eeyore, but that accolade (according to DD, and rightly) goes more to DH. She is adamant that I am Rabbit - disappointing as I had always hoped to be Earth Mother Kanga, and I never liked Rabbit anyway ☹️.
Round- substantial backsideness ready and waiting for you. And for YL, if she decides to take up your suggestion!
Have a good day all x

Had a good few days. All washing done. Kitchen blitzed. Decluttered and reorganised my stationary chest of drawers. Hoovered, dusted then had to rest.Declutter 2005. 32/20258

Morning all. I managed 6 hours' sleep, which is two hours better than the previous night and the night before that.
Yesterday I somehow
- did WM and TD x3 because it rained all day (and the forecast is wet again today)
- packed up boxes of stuff to take to DS1+2 and various friends [fer-ling!]
- hoovered all through and also dusted the LR
- made phonecalls and sent emails
- took to the tip all the bathroom rubbish plus non-recyclable detritus from the cupboards and drawers I've emptied, plus DH's not inconsiderable contribution from his mancave (our black bin is, very unusually, almost full this week) [fer-ling!]
- showed a local tradesman what painting and other jobs I need doing around the house - now waiting for his quote
- took Rosie for her walk in the drizzle
- watered the garden (because the soil under the plants was still dry) as the drizzle turned to heavy rain
- looked online for new curtain material for the study: I inherited the current curtains and have never really liked them
- watched Long Lost Family without falling asleep
Today I must
- tidy the wrapping paper drawer [I don't know quite how or why this happened, but it did!]
- S&S kitchen, steam mop the floor
- make phonecalls and send emails [watch out for cane toads]
- bag up stuff to take tomorrow to the local CS's special opening for donations only, and put them in the car
- buy bananas and a few other bits at the local shop
- make scrunchies for DGD1+2 and bunting for DGD1+2 and DGS3+4
- make scones for DS1 (and a few for us)
- stay awake for a Zoom meeting this afternoon!
- get away early from the meeting to speak to DS1 who is calling in to check why the toilet is still leaking
- take Rosie for her walk
Progress is visible
Hope everyone has a good day xx

Just back from trip to York. Aborted because thought I'd try shopping with a mask on and it just doesn't work for me. I can't see anything except blur without my glasses and they just steamed up, so I'm going to stick with online shopping. Council meeting later in week will be interesting if I can't see my notes.
Anyway, the dogs had a short walk (Littleydog still limping but putting paw down more) and most dailies were done before we went out.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
I'm going to be using one of OH's motorbike neck warmers, I am planning on pulling it up over my mouth and nose, and going out very little to the shops as I do now.I've done my shift on the stressy box and I need to get outside and do things, but while on the box I have reviewed quotes for various things and asked for second quotes from others as I feel I am being ripped off for certain things, but I will just put everything on hold if I need to I am in no hurry, we can get by with what is here, but it is old and was very very dirty, although cleaner it is still not right, there is only one pot of money so it needs to be spent wisely, when it is gone it is done, or I go back to work which I really don't want to do..................Off to get food.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles
