I checked out ECP website and the section on privacy says who they share data with-
We may share your personal information with outside organisations such as our service providers or government authorities. This is so that we can fulfill contracts, run our business, and obey rules that apply to us. Below is a list of all the types of organisation that we may share your personal information with.
There's a big list and it includes debt collection agencies and solicitors.
This is just how PPI started and cost the operators £millions0 -
@beamerguy no opt in or out but you can apparently contact them if you object to them using your data (bit late at this point!) although it says they don't have to agree with your request. I don't know enough about this sort of stuff to make much of a comment, just thought I'd throw it out there for those more knowledgeable on these matters.
Anyway sorry for derailing thread a little, will post again in a couple of months to let others know if I hear anything back from CST.0 -

Firstly, the issue of how the parking company processes your data, and whether they can pass it to other organisations. In these circumstances, I suspect they are probably within their rights. You can object, but I think they're entitled to reject your objection.
Secondly, though, they are required to tell you explicitly how they intend to process your information. Under EU GDPR I'm pretty sure this would mean the parking company would have to tell you that they are passing your information to a debt recovery company, and the debt collector would have to tell you they were passing it to a solicitor. In other words it isn't enough to tell you they 'might' share it, they need to tell you if they do so...
... and however incestuous the relationships between DRP and CST, they are separate organisations.
Having said that, I'm not sure how the UK DPA 2018 matches up to GDPR. If you want to explore a complaint, the ICO online chat is pretty good: https://ico.org.uk/global/contact-us/live-chat/

MancLad11 said:Beanthere2020 said:@MancLad11 I'm in a similar situation ready to respond to CST Law LBC - did you send to Compliance and Info email addresses and did you receive any response/confirmation of receipt?
I sent my response to just the info email. probably should've sent it to both. But I haven't heard anything back yet.
I also sent my SAR to Euro Car Parks but I have heard nothing back from them either and it is approaching a week since I sent both the emails. Not sure what the next steps are.1 -
This is a massive thread ..... CST ... kissing cousins of the circus clowns DRP and the other debt chasing clowns
You need to get a glass of wine (or two or three) to read this thread. Some odd bod at CST law, thought they could attack Scotland ??? They targeted people who had parking tickets from the known fraudster UKPC
Not only was that stupid but it came to the attention of the Authorities ? CST .. AKA CREDIT STYLE are being investigates by the SRA ??
A well known UFO sceptic once said, "If they are that intelligent, why do they keep crashing into the earth"

Hi there,
I am not very good with the whole IT and computer stuff.
I have attached a copy of the letter I have received.
Although I have read most of this thread I am still confused on what to send and how to send it.
There is no email for CST Law or EuroCarPark ltd, do i have to do it by post? would anyone be able to help please!
Thanks very much in advance. Sorry!0 -
As you will have seen on this thread, CSTLaw make schoolboy errors and they keep doing so ?
The Letter above clearly states the charge is £160 ??? WRONG AGAIN CST, no parking ticket is £160 ?
As it is a letter before claim, you must reply
1: Denying any debt
2: Request a copy of the £160 parking ticket ... that's what they are saying ?
Send a SAR to Euro requesting the info they hold on you
Someone at CST is not with it and it's no wonder CST .. AKA Credit Style is being investigated by the SRA
As CST cannot provide you with a copy of a £160 parking ticket, they have no reply on something that does not exist1 -
jules2021 said:Hi, I'm about 2 months ahead of you-Euro Car Parks too. I sent a SAR by email and received the response by post just under a month later. Haven't had any reply to my CST law email, I was hoping that would be the case as according to this forum they don't usually reply (for single tickets anyway) and hopefully that's the end of it.
Just a point about the SAR for the others on here-we know they're sharing data now as CST are being instructed by ECP these days not DRP, it does mention in the SAR that they may share your data with others, apparently it says it on their signs. I can only assume it's in the tiny red writing at the bottom which I can't read on any of their copies and am not about to go to any of their car parks (ever again!) It probably doesn't matter but I just thought I'd mention the whole data sharing issue, I guess they are "allowed" to do that, especially if it's stated on their signs?0 -
But what we want you and everyone to do, is come back here (please) every week over the Summer and check for when the Government’s final Consultation gets released.
As said on every thread right now, we NEED people like you to have your say about Government policy re the level of parking charges to be applied next year onwards.
I see there are shedloads of people posting on and reading this group thread and the policy will also apply in Scotland - so this is a call to action to ALL posters and lurkers!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
