But if you are saying you know nothing about the PCN then email a SAR to the named parking firm - see NEWBIES thread.this letter before claim is the first notice of any kind that I've received with regards to this PCN.Then this is your error in leaving the car registered at an old address in 2017. The PCN letters went to where the car was registered at the time of the PCN and CST have subsequently traced you to the correct address. You MUST confirm to CST and to the Parking Firm (both) your correct address for service and require them to ERASE (use that word) the data of your previous old address and no longer use it because it is not a valid way to reach you.
If you still have that car, change the registered address now online to the DVLA. If you are not getting 'vehicle tax' reminders, it's not registered at the right address. People do this all the time when they move house, my relatives included! They change their driving licence address but not their cars' logbook/V5C and then wonder why they never heard about a PCN from years ago. Same old same old. Sort that out now.
Before you ask: No, it doesn't matter as long as you put it all right now and make sure the scammers erase the wrong address. You CANNOT safely assume they will use the new one for any court claim. We win court claim defences so there are no worries as long as you make sure you will receive it and see the claim to defend!0 -
Not at all. The only important issues are to get the SAR from the PPC, so you can see their hand, and get them and CST to erase the wrong address.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yep.
As pointed out, IF you get a court claim, then you have an obvious- but that is a public street - as part of your defence.0 -

I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Hi,
Just reading your post of 8th January on the CST thread and have just received virtually identical letter for a charge back in 2017.
Could you send me a copy of the letter you mention? It will be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks, happy new year, and keep up the good work.
Regards,

CST quoting £175 (£160 ticket + £15 admin fee). I didn't mention these additional costs (to the £100 ticket) in the my initial CST Law reply. Should I follow up asking for legal justification of these costs?0 -

I agree with Umkomaas, really what on earth is the point? We know the additions are not recoverable and we know why.
We've said before here that encouraging people to write utterly pointless emails asking the scammers to justify the unjustifiable, simply generates more work for us when they all come back, quoting (utterly pointlessly yet again) from the useless reply and asking for a poxy 'next step'.
Please no. Can we just stop telling people to email useless stuff and causing us regulars more work. I can't be bothered with this thread any more if all the posters on the group thread are going to think they should write some daft email about the added £60 or £75, then ask us about it, again and again and again. Then come back and tell us about the reply they got, again and again and again.
I'm out of this thread if it's going to descend into silly email tennis with CST.
JUST SIT AND WAIT FOR A CLAIM AND GET A SAR FROM THE PARKING FIRM, EVERYONE. AND MAKE SURE YOU TELL THEM TO ERASE YOUR OLD ADRESS IF THE PARKING FIRM EVER HAD TWO ADDRESSES (e.g. if you never got the PCN letters).
THAT IS ALL. NOTHING ELSE. DON'T ASK US ABOUT THE STUPID ADDED COSTS.
