Hi everyone, I’m new to this thread, any help would be amazing. I’ve had 2 letters from Euro Car Parks and 3 letters from Debt Recovery Plus. This is the first letter from CST. I am confused as it says payment to Debt Recovery Plus on the second page, not Euro Car Parks. The letter does enclose an information sheet and a reply form which I will not be sending back. I have ignored all previous letters; Should I continue to ignore this or do I need to respond?0 -
You read this Thread and the newbies thread, and follow the advice there. No chance that you are a unique situation

Makes a change to see CST understand who is the real claimant
Even though they fail to tell you it is a LETTER BEFORE CLAIM, it is, giving you 30 days to respond. It is very difficult to understand the intelligence of CST, as you know from reading this thread, they don't normally know who the claimant is, now they don't understand Pre Action Protocol.
So, incompetence aside, you have to reply.
You ask them what is their legal authority to add £60 and £15 ?
So far, they have never replied to this because they have no answer. Who knows, they may reply to you but it will be nonsense.
If they do respond, let us see a copy of the letter

Hello,
I received a Letter Before Claim from CST Law (attached) instructed by UKPC Ltd for a single parking ticket in March 2017 (in Scotland). I received a follow up letter about 5/6 weeks later. This was stupidly binned in a house move (2019). I have written the letter to CST law (attached) and was about to write the SAR to UKPC but I have hit a road block. Looking through the newbies post I read that you need to show you are the correct data subject. I am no longer the registered keeper of the car in question (so no log book), my last name changed a few years ago so is now different to that on the letter so I can't technically prove my name either. All my utility bills are in new name. The address is however correct. I have no idea how they managed to get my new address as the car was never registered there. As far as I am aware I only received the one letter relating to this back in 2017, no follow up letters.
Any help appreciated,
Thanks!

You can prove your name change by attaching the marriage cert or deed poll. Just don't give them anything with your photo or DOB and don't say who was driving.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hello all.
Received a letter from CST Law today 08/01/2021 but letter is dated 30/12/2020.
It is a letter before claim for a PCN dated 10/04/2017 - The location of the PCN is Bedford St South, Liverpool. As far as I can remember that street is all Resident Parking between 8am and 6pm and doesn't have parking machines anywhere along it.
I'm almost certain that i have never parked on that street during those times and this letter before claim is the first notice of any kind that I've received with regards to this PCN.
No windscreen ticket, no letter through the post until today.
On the reverse of the letter is the standard please pay Debt Recovery Plus Etc.
Just wondered on the correct way to proceed as I couldn't find a similar case with it being in a residents zone.
Thanks in advance to any help

Makes no difference that it's a residents' zone. The facts don't matter. Do the same as everyone else with that letter!
But if you are saying you know nothing about the PCN then email a SAR to the named parking firm - see NEWBIES thread.this letter before claim is the first notice of any kind that I've received with regards to this PCN.Then this is your error in leaving the car registered at an old address in 2017. The PCN letters went to where the car was registered at the time of the PCN and CST have subsequently traced you to the correct address. You MUST confirm to CST and to the Parking Firm (both) your correct address for service and require them to ERASE (use that word) the data of your previous old address and no longer use it because it is not a valid way to reach you.
If you still have that car, change the registered address now online to the DVLA. If you are not getting 'vehicle tax' reminders, it's not registered at the right address. People do this all the time when they move house, my relatives included! They change their driving licence address but not their cars' logbook/V5C and then wonder why they never heard about a PCN from years ago. Same old same old. Sort that out now.
Before you ask: No, it doesn't matter as long as you put it all right now and make sure the scammers erase the wrong address. You CANNOT safely assume they will use the new one for any court claim. We win court claim defences so there are no worries as long as you make sure you will receive it and see the claim to defend!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Scot18 ..... I am sick of reading these junk copy and paste letters from CST.
They lie and add fake amounts. So, I am helping two others on this thread because CST copy and paste letters deserve only one thing ...... a copy and paste letter back ... the return letter gets very serious. It's oven ready (as Boris would say)
Just PM me and I will send you the letter. CST do not like replying to letters
Interesting that UKPC are using CST, not their normal dodgy legal so we must assume that probably UKPC are using CST as a public Convenience to get FREE letters sent out to would be mugs
richhudson76 ..... same applies to you, identical copy and paste as well
