That’s great to hear, when you say bank statements, personal or business?IMsaver said:

Amazing news IMsaver..I e sheena few of your posts on here and glad you got the offer. Happy for you. Did they ask for further info from your partner? If so, what did they ask? Has your partners revenue returned since covid? Or was there no impact?IMsaver said:Hi everyone,
I followed this thread for a long time, we had our full mortgage approval today (we were waiting for valuation to be completed yesterday). See timeline below! My partner was SE and took the first SEISS payment, i'm full-time employment, 71% LTV.
The whole process was very stress free (except for the long wait), i would honestly tell most of you on here to relax (although easier said then done!) and try not to second-guess everything. I honestly thought the worst and it went through fine, good luck to all!
Dates
Mortgage application: 22.09
Sent to underwriters: 28.09
Approved subject to valuation 26.10 (we had approval through exactly when they said they were looking at it according to intermediary sites)
Valuation: 02.11
Full mortgage approval! (They sent a text and email to confirm)
We provided everything to our MB up front, this was his SA302 form, tax overview, our bank statements, my payslips the lot! All our mortgage broker asked when we applied was how had the business been affected by Covid? My partner is a guitar teacher so he took his students onto zoom and didn't need the SEISS payment in the end (they say the first one is fine anyway), he actually did better this year then the last.
We didn't have any questions except for that generic one up front, not a single peep from anyway until we got the approval!
Thanks again x0 -
Congratulations! Spoke to my MB who said it would take them usually a week to get out to you. So should receive either tomorrow or Friday. Now I need the Solicitors to start engaging and get this wrapped up with the exchange. Local Authority Searches seem to be taking a while. My area being Gloucester, are currently 15 days lead time and was applied on the 28/10, "rolls eyes". Now with lockdown, can't even start to look at furniture. So I have to just sit and wait. However, no where near as bad as waiting for the mortgage offer, that's the biggie!IMsaver said:

How long did the offer pack take to get out to you, I have been waiting since I got the offer on Friday.
Sit tight those of you are still waiting. Iv pretty much read the entire forum and others, and out of all the hundreds of approvals iv only seen one or two get declined.0 -
Another SE and E couple here just for comparison (and reassurance!). We applied 26th August, supplied exactly the same docs via broker (SA302, overview, payslips, 3 months business and personal statements plus Santander's accountancy form they supply filled in by accountant). They asked absolutely nothing about SE situation. Only questions we had were a couple about our relationship with the vendor (it's a private sale using no agents) and that was it. Broker went back to them the same day with the answers and was accepted and offered the next day, 30th September. 5 weeks in total but 3 of these were waiting for the valuation to be done. It was booked at the very beginning of the process but no availability in our area for 3 weeks, hence the wait.mowgliisaG said:

We are still waiting on Santander to look at the document we sent last week. Had an update on our solicitor case that says the vendor is looking to complete on November 27.0

Sue that’s very reassuring to hear. Was the SE hit by any Covid impact? What was your ltv? ThanksSueF1 said:

He took 1st SEISS and BBL. To be honest I don't even know if this was mentioned because we never had to answer anything about it and although our broker knew he'd had it, she never asked anything detailed to make me think she was relaying anything to Santander. He had 6 weeks off during the first lockdown (end of March/ April) then carried on as usual and was (and still is) busier than ever.mowgliisaG said:

Our LTV is 85%.Amazed they didnt ask for much info. We are 62.5% ltv but asking for full 4.45 x LTI. Took BBL but not used. Business is now pretty much to pre Covid levels. Applied 13th oct..and waiting....0 -
The waiting and not knowing is very difficult but we were assured Santander are one of the best for SE applications and very fair. My experience has been just that so if I were you I'd be confident.mowgliisaG said:

We just heard from our MB, who mentioned it is with their “mortgage centre” and we can expect an offer any day. Has anybody heard of this centre before?
Our application went in on 15/10, we had a query on 28/10 and was supposed to be in the underwriter queue. No word on valuation or anything yet, but it’s a new build of a type that are replicated a lot in the estate.0 -
It seems very sporadic when valuations are booked from what people have said. We applied today and got a text saying they have organised the valuation. I wonder if that’s a good sign?0
