Anyone whose application was passed to underwriters on 4 August, heard anything yet?

Got some news today, not great

After waiting nearly 7 weeks (still no offer)    The valuation was done yesterday and there are no notes which our broker says is a positive sign and there shouldn’t be a down valuation (we will see!)

However, it’s looking like we are going to be offered less money by the bank then we needed (quite a bit less). I’m honestly gutted and so annoyed with this whole process.

In what sense do you mean it’s looking like you’ll be offered less? Sorry to hear that!

The bank will be offering us a lower amount than stated on our AIP. So we will have to put in a bigger deposit or lose the house!

Sorry what I mean is if you’ve not had the offer yet, how do you know that they won’t offer the full amount?

Oh sorry! Basically our broker has spoken to them and that’s what they’ve said. Our valuation was yesterday so I think they are close to offering and our broker was tracking the progress for us. They have just requested some more payslips off us.

Oh sorry! Basically our broker has spoken to them and that’s what they’ve said. Our valuation was yesterday so I think they are close to offering and our broker was tracking the progress for us. They have just requested some more payslips off us.

How annoying! Try not to think negatively, you might be lucky. 

We got our full amount (185k) even though all 3 of the payslips I sent had sickness deductions due to a covid vaccine side effect. I never thought we’d get an offer.

We’ve had our offer issued! Message from broker to say it’s being sent to us and we should get it soon. Initial application sent on 30/06 for reference.

Ok, finally they have agreed the full amount on our mortgage. But it’s in the ‘Mortgage centre’ queue. Does anyone know how long it sits here for? 😭😭😭
