Update - late last night Santander issued our offer , our broker updated us first thing this morning. I think the solicitors involvement has helped. We are now just awaiting our formal email which will be with us today-Monday 😩

I hope you all hear soon it’s been horrible 

That’s great news, Congratulations! Can I ask how you got things speeded up e.g how did your solicitor get involved, did they call them and say things were going to fall through if an offer wasn’t made quick?

I’m not entirely sure what she actually wrote to them , but I know she did a direct fax to them and I know that she informed them that our original exchange date had passed.
my broker was also on the case so it could have been a combination of both of them that resulted in it finally getting sorted.

I hope you hear news very soon , it’s so very mentally draining

My solicitor rang and sent a fax and it’s going to be sorted Monday morning according to Santander. It probably would have been Friday but was later in the afternoon when the fax was sent and Santander said first thing Monday it would be sorted. I think it was because we have been waiting 8 weeks and completion has already been moved because of this.. people starting to lose money on removal firms etc…

Re the email, our formal email took 2 working days to arrive, postal offer then took another 3/4 working days IIRC 👍

Anyone that’s had a physical valuation, how long after it did you get the result? Thank you!

Just recieved an email from our solicitor to say the address is different on our mortgage offer from whats on the home report and title deeds! And the purchase price is incorrect and only shows the valuation price and not what we are actually paying. Broker has fecked up! 
We are due to move a week on Friday and now need to wait to have another offer issued, which going by their timelines will be another week.
I'm so angry right now!

It's waiting for everyone 3lse to get their a**e in gear! We are paying a bloody fortune and seem to constantly be chasing things up ourselves!
I can't believe you're still waiting! Double check the paperwork when you get it, our house is rural so we just thought that's how they had listed it but the solicitors not happy with it. Obviously they wouldn't issue a mortgage for a house that doesn't exist!

This was the end of our timeline, bearing in mind the 29th was a Friday…

25th July - Valuation instructed

29th July - Valuation survey completed

2nd Aug - Broker confirmed mortgage approved pending satisfactory valuation 

4th Aug - Santander formal mortgage offer
