Congratulations, did you go through a broker or direct with Santander?Optimistim_13 said:As a wee bit of hope for anyone with a less than fantastic credit rating. I finished my DMP with stepchange nearly 6 years ago. It was 44k all in and took me 5 years to pay every penny back. We got approved for a mortgage on our dream house yesterday with santander with an 85% ltv, mortgage is 280k.
I just wanted to reassure everyone that there's life after debt so don't give up hope.0

We used a broker, our previous house purchase was in my husbands name only as it was very soon after my DMP finished. I was so anxious that we would get declined due to my recklessness years ago.Nuri123 said:

It's a big relief that the damage has been repaired, I didn't tell the broker as he only wanted current details of any debts and any adverse credit history within 5 years so it was just beyond.
The underwriters didnt query anything on my file.0

It seems really hit and miss.Roses31 said:Does anyone know how accurate the service times are on the Santander intermediaries website?Ours was bang on, yesterday it said those sent to underwriting on 19th were being done - which is when ours was, and we heard from the broker yesterday
Others seem to have been waiting longer, others less.. no real pattern!0

A quick update, just received a email from Santander at 7pm stating they've issued a mortgage offer, I'm abit shocked tbh because yesterday broker spoke to them and they said it's in a queue. Sent a screenshot to the broker just to make sure his received anything.1

Anyone know when they send a email to confirm offer does it look different if it's a revised offer like if you've asked for a certain amount but they offer you less. Or does the broker know before hand when he can see the mortgage offer0
