Yeah I was told the same 😔, honestly if I get declined I will be completely heartbroken just for the fact I've been waiting over a month for a answer either way, I know alot of you who are waiting would feel the same way 😔

I was hoping that they would say no much earlier in the process but i don't have a clue how it works. Fingers crossed for you all!

You know when it goes to the underwriters, how long does it take for them to make a decision?

We were notified 19th July it was sent to underwriting, and had our initial acceptance today. 

Just wondering how how long it’ll take to get the ‘formal offer’

Did they ask for anything from the 19th until today?

Mine got passed to the underwriters on the 22nd July.

We will be waiting for our formal offer too as we got a congratulations email today but I dont know what happens now or when the offer is actually issued.

I chased our application again today. It apparently only got sent to underwriting on 29th July, even though we had questions from underwriters on 18th and answered our broker within the 4 hour slot for quick response. So we’re now looking at the end of next week for it even to be looked at again!  It’s so stressful 😞 there’s no logic to it!

This sounds exactly like our case! We submitted an application on 24th June! I’m abroad so can’t ring them. Back in England tomorrow so Santander are going to get an earful…. Looking to apply to a new lender. Joke!
