Fingers crossed we are out of our misery soon 🤞🏻0

Good luck folks, I really hope there's some news soon. If this was my work they would be offering out overtime and double time to try and clear the back log. They obviously took way to many applications that thry couldn't manage at the same time!0

Email from Santander on 6th July confirming application received19th July email from broker to say she’d just received an email from Santander saying our application had now been passed to underwriting
25th July email from broker to say she’d had confirmation that the valuation was booked for 29th July and from experience she expects us to hear the following week.
Fingers crossed we hear this week. We’re in no rush as the vendor we’re buying from hasn’t found a house yet, my main worry with the whole buying process is just the mortgage though. Awful timing but the last 3 months of my payslips all have deductions for sickness due to an expected vaccine side effect (prior to that 10+ years without a single day sick!) so I’m quite certain we’ll get declined due to typically the 3 months proof of payslips all being lower than normal.
Will have to wait and see.Good luck to others waiting!
“Hope you’re both well. Just wanted to let you know that your mortgage has now been fully approved by the underwriter subject to a satisfactory valuation. Once this has been received it will be formally offered.
Will let you know as soon as this has come back.”
We were told the valuation was being done 29th July so I’m not sure whether there’s just a delay getting the findings in or whether the survey was delayed.0 -

Im honestly massively surprised we got approved.I only earn 23k, my other half is minimum wage so what 17-18k.
I’d had sickness deductions the last 3 payslips and also had unintentionally changed cars 3 times this year so my bank statements have 3 transactions of over £6000 in then out again to accounts.Never had a single query back or request for any additional info. I’d already scanned in copies of the car receipts in preparation for them to query it!
I suppose the fact we’ve both got 999 credit scores, no debt or adverse history must help.0 -
Ah I'm not far off your earnings I earn just over 20k but do quite alot of overtime which brings my monthly wages to £2700 before tax, but I've got a 50k deposit from the ale of my current home, it's solely in my name the application and the house I want to purchase is 175k, I've had a couple of loans that I've cleared off and sent them the proof, fingers crossed everyone gets there's approved, but so happy for you x1

Hi, been a long time lurker. I submitted my application on the 23rd June
. Sent in everything that has been asked for. Valuation was done 3 days later (desktop) lots of back and forthing with them asking for more paperwork (p60s etc etc) we are only after 18%Loan to Value as have a massive deposit.
My broker has said it has been sent to the underwriter a few times but they have always requested more documents. We supplied them the same day.I am in a chain and now this is the last thing we are waiting for, I am pulling my hair out! My husband is SE with 11 plus years of accounts and I am a supply teacher that has been scrutinised to death. My employer have had to send a letter saying they will guarantee me full time hours.
My broker is saying 10 days for underwriters, but may be quicker. I am having such little faith after the 6 weeks we have already endured. We are hoping to complete on the 17th August!!!Has anyone got an underwriter agreement before the timescales that are put on the intermediaries website? So worried(

Just got an update from our broker.... the underwriters have approved it and we should recieve our offer soon.
Looking at the timelinedoes that mean our valuation has already been approved based on our home report (scotland)
They asked for confirmation on my husbands name on his wage slip today at 3pm and we sent it at 4pm.
