Application submitted 30th June (via broker) and doesn’t feel like we are getting anywhere! All I know is that the application was sent to the underwriters queue on 19th July to carry out the full review.29th July broker found out Santander are just waiting for a valuation to be carried out on the property. Not sure if this means everything else is done and we should receive an answer once the valuation is complete or not. Not even sure when the valuation is booked for.
Its’s been a whole month now so starting to worry at the pace. Anyone else submitted around the same time and in a similar position?0 -

Hiya first time posting, submitted application via broker on 2nd July, was. Told last week that the valuation had been done but application has to go through a final check before they can offer a mortgage, they haven't asked for anything since the application was submitted but like yourself it's stressing me out, but the delay is down to Santander getting a flood of applications in the last week of June before they increased the interest rate so that's why there's a delay with all applications. Hoping for all of us who are waiting things work out the way they should x2

We are also in a similar boat.
Application 6th July via online broker. Have heard almost nothing.
Maybe the valuation has been done? No idea if we've passed credit checks.
Apparently we are in a queue for underwriting.
Hopefully all comes together as it's getting tight with conveyancing etc and our proposed date of entry is only a month away, so if the mortgage is declined we're a bit stuffed!0 -
If you don't mind me asking are you a first time buyer and how much deposit are you putting down?0

Hi 1st post here
We applied 30th June also through mortgage broker
Valuation carried out last Monday 25th and santander received the report 26th haven't heard anything since.
Mortgage broker chased up with them today as they have everything they have asked for and she was told it will be at least another 4 days - the waiting is so frustrating!! Here's to another week of phone watching

We've applied for a 95% LTV mortgage.0 -
We've been told it will be at least the end of the week or the beginning of next and we are in Scotland so valuation is already done as part of the home report before it goes to market.0

First time poster here, just wanted to echo others really!First time buyers, £220k property, 35k depositApplied via a broker on 5th July
Email from Santander on 6th July confirming application received19th July email from broker to say she’d just received an email from Santander saying our application had now been passed to underwriting
25th July email from broker to say she’d had confirmation that the valuation was booked for 29th July and from experience she expects us to hear the following week.
Fingers crossed we hear this week. We’re in no rush as the vendor we’re buying from hasn’t found a house yet, my main worry with the whole buying process is just the mortgage though. Awful timing but the last 3 months of my payslips all have deductions for sickness due to an expected vaccine side effect (prior to that 10+ years without a single day sick!) so I’m quite certain we’ll get declined due to typically the 3 months proof of payslips all being lower than normal.
Will have to wait and see.Good luck to others waiting!0
