Santander mortgage timeline

I called up and they said they haven’t received the application through to them (mortgage centre). On their website it says they’re setting up applications received on 27th June. We submitted 29th so I suspect they are still working through their backlog?

Anyone who applied after 27th received any news yet?

I also asked, given I’m a Santander credit card customer, why they needed to do the check given they already know me at my current address - apparently it’s a part of the direct online application and has to be completed.

My letter arrived in the post yesterday so the 2nd send worked for me. Although I'm not sure why their "first class" post takes 5 days

Valuation instructed!

28/06 - full application direct online first thing in the morning.
29/06 - asked for more info and supplied within 6 mins.
01/07 - Passed to underwriters and valuation checks being done. Believe since speaking to them that they were desktop review only and has been accepted.
05/07 - asked for more info and supplied within 20 mins.
09/07 - received 2nd lot of address verification codes and submitted.

They're still reviewing the info we sent on the 5th which was only an additional payslip.

25/06 - Applied
29/06 - Reviewing documents and valuation instructed
04/07 - Decision available and valuation sometime in the week
09/07 - Second set of identify letters received and verified
11/07 - Offer issued

So 10 days in total but I think they were waiting on the address verification for a few days so that likely held it up. 

We only needed to submit a payslip each on the first day.

Eeek, your valuation took place after mine and I've still heard nothing for mine as of yet. Our valuation was on 30th June and radio silence, the application was approved pending valuation before the valuation took place so it is the last thing we're waiting on.

That’s good. We were only asked for more payslips and a P60 because for some unknown reason, my payslips don’t actually have my employers name on them! P60 does though thankfully. Not been asked for anything else yet so hoping for a quick turnaround as well.
