now playing the waiting game. Perfect credit score 0 Debt but self employed. Vendor is eager to get the sale done ASAP understandably but Santander seem to be dragging their feet.

Any MA here who knows what happens if you want to change product half way through your application? Basically, I just want to go for the higher cashback option, but everything else stays the same. I dread having to start from scratch as I am in NI and valuation was initially booked for 5 weeks ahead!0

Just found out my broker had to start a new mortgage application, as santander wouldn't ammend the previous application as it hadn't got to the offer stage, took them weeks to decide that.
Now need to do another hard search and start again, want the damn thing approved so I can get searches started and things rolling.0 -
My mortgage was approved in March. I was due to complete on my house today. On Monday Santander told my solicitor the funds would be available either late yesterday or first thing today. For some reason, Santander have referred things back to their underwriters, meaning I have now missed my completion date! Absolutely gutted. They are providing no information whatsoever, and we are all in the dark. I feel sick with the whole process.0

Sick to death!!
Santander asked me to provide a letter from my employer to state they are renewing my contract (im currently on fixed term, but will be made permanent when this contact ends)
And because my employer put 'to whom it may concern'
They want it rewritten so its says To santander...
Back to the underwriter for the 4th timeanyone else loosing the will to live?!

So close to exchange. My buyers finally transfered their deposit to their solicitor. It took them 2 days , because only could do half amount / day. We were supposed to exchange last Wednesday. Now my solicitor checking with Santander if they can release the funds for the 21st for completion. He spoke with them this morning , but so far Santander didn’t come back with the answerHopefully they can 🤞🏼🤞🏼How much notice are they usually need ?0

Saw this thread and wonder if members here are still experiencing a slow response/long delay from Santander at the moment for underwriting approval?0
