Hey! First time poster & FTB, but been stalking this forum for the past 4 weeks since submitting my mortgage application  :#

So lush to see people getting their offers through, and they certainly have helped through this nail bitting experience!

I submitted my application 7th June directly
11th - asked to supply more documents
15th - Valuation instructed & Passdd to underwriter
16th - Desktop valuation done, confirmed asking amount
22nd - asked to supply more documents
26th - passed back to underwriter
1st July - asked to supply more documents

Seems all a bit of a nightmare and a headache at the mo.. praying for good news soon x

Hope it speeds up for you. Honestly for the life of me, I don’t understand their processing of asking for more documents and then putting you to the back of the queue again. We are hoping for a decision by Thursday and if they ask for more documents it’ll mean we’ll be pushing another nearly two weeks. It’s been 5 so far - nightmare!
  • We're approaching 7 weeks now, went back to the underwriters on Thursday... could do with being put out of our misery soon!

I feel your pain! I honestly dont know what more they could possibly ask for.. but they never fail to suprise me. Had a notification earlier to say its back with the underwriter... third time lucky im hoping

Keeping my fingers crossed for you both that things speed up soon and you get some good news   :)

Hey! I've been following this forum for a while, thought I should share my experience.

I'm currently remortgaging my property to Santander. Went directly to them.
    App submitted: 22/06/2021
    Appointment with Santander MA: 23/06/2021
    Application Pack Sent: 25/06/2021
    Application Passed Underwriting: 28/06/2021
Application Passed to Mortgage Center: 28/06/2021
    ---
They needed a valuation. So this was done on: 29/06/2021
    ---
Application Offered: 05/07/2021 [ ~2 week to get to this stage]

Now I need to get the legals done. Hopefully will be completed in the next couple of weeks.

Overall, I'm super pleased with Santander!

My circumstances are a bit complicated.
Salaried pay but have enhancements and extra shifts (NHS) - P60 doesn't match for last year as came back off Maternity Leave in November. Initially declined for debt:income ratio but appeal was submitted and accepted so application went off on 2nd July. Hate that I've applied through a broker and can't track the application myself  :s
Now that my financial side has been accepted I assume it's down to survey ~ anyone have any idea how long they can take? Hoping to complete and move next month! Searches are already back, draft contracts are drawn up for both my sale and my purchase... Eeeek

It takes on average 3-5 working days for it to arrive via post

    First Time Buyer ;

    applied with broker 28th June
    valuation 29th June
    with underwriters from 1st July.

now playing the waiting game. Perfect credit score 0 Debt but self employed. Vendor is eager to get the sale done ASAP understandably but Santander seem to be dragging their feet.

Can any one offer words of wisdom? I have my 2nd child due in 3 weeks and we are all desperate to get out of our rented flat.

    good luck everyone.
