Yep! My application has been passed back and forth the underwriters 4 times, each time needed a new document.. im 5 weeks in since submitting application, and usually wait 4/5 days from submitting the document (which i send the same day the ask for it) to get an update that its been passed back to the underwritter.. then another 4/5 day wait to get an update.JonMitchell said:Saw this thread and wonder if members here are still experiencing a slow response/long delay from Santander at the moment for underwriting approval?
My valuation was done 3 weeks ago and they were satisfied with the amount.. hoping for some news soon! X0 -
All the best! May I find out if yours is a purchase/remortgage from another lender to Santander or?JD12Ev said:

A huge congratulations! I have been following your journey, its so lovely to see you've finally got your offer.strike4a said:Their underwriting process is painfully long and with no communication as to how it is progressing. I feel your frustration with the underwriters! Weve gone back and forth 4 times, once was because a letter from my employer was addressed to 'to whom it may concern' and not addressed to santander they wanted it rewritten.. frustrating!
You must be thrilled the wait is over! Hope the next stage goes smoothly for you

Just few questions:
Payslips - how many payslips did Santander ended asking from you? I thought usually it is just 3 months for banks
Was wondering if you would be able to share what other info they requested from you? It is alright if you prefer not to share if they are personal queries.
Interestingly as I read through this post, there are few who have fast response/approval from Santander while the majority have a lagging slow response.....1 -
