This is officially the most frustrating and stressful process ever.So after applying 10th May and told that I would get the good news (acceptance) either yesterday or today, Santander have now come back asking for further documentation... *walks off nearest cliff* 🤣Looks like I’m back to the bottom of the pile for another week.0

Still no news on the production of my offer. Its like Santander don't care. I wish I could start again!0

Took them 3 weeks to give me my offer after approving it.sweetsugar007 said:Still no news on the production of my offer. Its like Santander don't care. I wish I could start again!1 -
Morning! I'm a FTB and applied to Santander through a broker for a 95% LTV mortgage on May 25 - my application has been with the underwriter for almost 2 weeks and the valuation was booked in last week.
I've been reading through the posts here and it seems like a lot of you have had bad experiences with Santander - for balance, I wondered if anyone has any good experiences they can share? I'd also be interested to hear about your experiences with the 95% LTV product, and what the timelines are like for that...
Good luck everyone!0 -
Hi we applied back in March, took Santander 3 weeks to give us the full mortgage offer my hubby SE and that was with bank holidays aswell, the day we had our full mortgage offer the vendor pulled out, took a few week to find another house, Santander done another valuation on the house as the mortgage offer lasts for 6 months, the house we going for is going through probate so we have to wait until probate is granted, searches have started now so slowly moving forward, I can’t fault Santander to be honest just hope probate don’t take forever, good luck with yoursFinallyFTB2021 said:Morning! Hi Guys
As many others I've been lurking on here for a while, just looking for some positive stories of underwriters coming back with around 10 questions and still getting approved??
Our time scale is:
FULL APP through Broker on 19th May
Hard searched: 19th May
Valuation: 7th June
Went to underwriters on 7th June
Questions from Underwriters 17th June.
We're complicated case, I have two jobs and husband is director of LTD company...0 -
Hi everyone, does anyone have any experience of having an offer issued, received by myself and solicitors but solicitor has queried something about the ground rent with santander (I'm buying a leasehold property) and not hearing anything back. Last week I should have heard by Friday, when I phoned on Monday it was today (thursday) and still nothing. So frustrating!0

Hey - yeah this is the exact same situation we are in, solicitors need Santander to sign off the ground rent - the brokers and solicitors keep telling us 'tomorrow' and it just never comes through. Now very much doubting we'll get it before the weekend and we've been waiting two weeks already. So annoying.chm26 said:Hi everyone, does anyone have any experience of having an offer issued, received by myself and solicitors but solicitor has queried something about the ground rent with santander (I'm buying a leasehold property) and not hearing anything back.
