    Mortgage approved! Yaaaay
Aww congratulations thrilled for you!!  We have just had more questions including what is this transaction and how much student loan I am paying monthly and the outstanding student loan balance.

At least another week wait for us! Sigh.. should have been moved in today 😪 7th May we applied.
I didnt wait a week this time. So fingers crossed for you!!! Did you put the student loan on the application?  You may get your offer end of this week as that was last thing they did was ask bout transactions on bank statements and the time before that they just asked for the bank statements xxx

So after Santander did a hard credit search and asking the sellers for a date for valuation the sellers have pulled out.
Waste if all our times, they aren't sure they want to sell anymore.
Worried now I will have multiple hard searches on my file will look bad.
Broker, said it shouldn't if I stay with santander, but I may need to reapply from scratch if price is very different to what I was paying for property we had found.
That's the second ideal place that's fell through.
    Getting annoying now.

This happened to us the first time, we have found another house but instead of it going bk to the underwriters we lucky enough we can put a bigger deposit down and Santander have sent out our new mortgage offer, we have till sep but the house we now buying is going through probate so hopefully that will go through quick, I’m glad now it happened to us as we have found a much better house, good luck with yours I hope u find a much better house for yourselves
I suppose everyone has their reasons, just don't get why you pay a estate agents to sell, then change your mind.

    This is so worrying.
We are releasing equity from our house for an interest only mortgage to buy a house for our daughter.
Valuation 4 May but broker said it only went to underwriters on Friday 14th May. I’m absolutely terrified something is going wrong - can’t under stand why some people are getting offer the day of or day after valuation - why aren’t we ?
Our valuation was done on the 7th May. They requested for p60 for second job and other questions but we have not heard anything from them since. You are not alone.

Hopefully I hear from them this week.
I sent them the P60 on the 21st May and I have received any update since. MA is not picking my calls.
Full application submitted on 23rd April.
Has anybody experienced this before and still received offer?
I'm worried because it has taken over a month to receive decision and MA  not updating, it maybe a bad news when I finally hear from them.😬😬
I have finally received good news today.

Application has been approved  and passed to the offer processing team.
    😆😆😆
  • I'm still waiting waiting it's killing me. My journey so far:-
    20/05/21 Application Made
    28/05/21 Online Valuation Done
28/05/21 The underwriters queried one transaction on my bank statement (which isn't an issue) and asked for a letter from my employer regarding future employability (I'm on a 2 year fixed term contract currently) which I've supplied stating it's highly likely my role will be made permanent and if not I can easily regain work in the surgical sector.
01/06/21 MA states she can see the underwriter is looking at my online file.
It's been 13 days and I've no idea if this is normal as some people seem to be getting approved overnight

Hi, no idea if it is normal, but my application went in in 06/05 and I am still waiting so not all are really quick. My broker isn't actually that helpful and I find I have to chase him to case a lot! He said he spoke to them last week and that my file went back to underwriters on 26/05 so he would expect to get request for more info or a decision sometime tomorrow... The wait is just awful isn't it. Good luck, I hope you hear something soon x
  • Does anyone on here know what happens if they are unable to offer the full amount? Is it then a straight no, or do they offer but with a lower LTV, or a different product etc? Am preparing for all eventualities here haha.
