Have you gone direct as well?Athanasia said:
I went to the underwriters on 22/05. They have come back with questions every single day since 24/05, the only quiet day has been today (until now), so I am keeping my fingers crossed and hope this will be the end of it. At this point, I honestly do not worry so much about getting declined, I just want the wait to be over.Kirkii27 said:
When did you go to the underwriters? So we could know before 7 days? As our email said 3 working days but that was the first time we went to the underwriters and then they requested more info so feel as though it going to be another week again! xAthanasia said:
I called them as I have had to send additional documents and had to go back to underwriters, and they said that what you see online is inaccurate in the sense that your case never leaves the underwriters, they just have to review the extra information. I call every day anyway, as I am not including my partner in the process, and it has given me peace of mind to be able to find out first hand if all is proceeding ok.Kirkii27 said:I asked my partner to phone them to see if they prioritise applications who have been in the underwriters que before but he won’t. Told me to be patient 😂 how can I be patient when you forgot to add our bloody child onto the application? We was approved last time it took literally a week that’s why I’m more frustrated now x0 -
Be the half term holidays reducing the availability of third party surveyors. Something totally outside of the lenders own control.Purlain said:
Have they given you a valuation date? My valuation is on 9 June, 3 weeks after application date, they are definitely behind the website service level. I remember we applied on the same day so our timeline is more relevant to each other.RJM90 said:I’ve just spoken to someone on the phone. Unfortunately they said they are behind and although the website says they are sending documents to the underwriters from May 24th they said it’s more like May 21st. Don’t know how reliable this is but I’ve been told to wait 10-12 for a final decision included completed valuation.0 -
Hi everyone,
Here is our timeline so far -
14/5/21 - Offer on house accepted
17/5/21 - Applied for mortgage via broker
19/5/21 - A couple of questions raised around my employment
20/5/21 - Santander have instructed a valuation on the property
26/5/21 - Update from Santander confirming that a physical valuation will take place on 28/5/21
Broker will let me know once the valuation report has been received.
In parallel, our solicitor has submitted the searches but still waiting for the Property Information and Content & Fitting forms from the seller’s solicitors.
It feels unlikely that we will manage to complete everything by the 30th of June :-( but we will keep our fingers crossed!

Seem to be having the worst luck. My case all approved and had been with underwriters 4 weeks to just be told my valuation was cancelled due to over exposure on my build?!! So so frustrated and my broker said they’ve never had this before.0

Well it’s another long wait for us - broker called today and was told they haven’t gotten to ours yet and it’ll be Tuesday before she can chase up again because of the bank holiday 🙈😭0

Hi Everyone,
I'm very anxiously awaiting the outcome of an application, it's making me feel quite ill.
I applied for my mortgage on 20/05/20 and my MA advised me that an online application was conducted today. The underwriter then asked me some questions about my job as I'm currently on a 2 year fixed term contract. They required a letter stating the likelihood of future employment which I've submitted. Has anyone any idea how long it will be before I get an answer?. Think I'm stuffed if they say no

Sorry meant to say online valuation not application.0

My valuation date is June 1st (I applied on May 20th). I think the quick turnaround is due to the house we’re buying being empty. Hoping we both get our offers quickly. Hope it goes fast for you now!Purlain said:
