We had our mortgage offer about 4 weeks ago now, vendor pulled out found another house valued Thursday still havent heard bk, so worried, broker didn’t answer me Friday now I’m thinking have something gone wrong, really hope I hear tomorrow now, plus house is going through probate but I’m not worried about that as the daughter lives in Holland and really wants her mams house to go to a family, which she seems really happy we want to buy it but I don’t think her solicitor have submitted application from probate to be granted which I was told would be 4 weeks when they submit application and it’s only been 2 🤯🤯🤯🤯 why is everything so stressful, the way it’s going I won’t have the house by Xmas 😭😭🤯🤯 would love some new saying valuation came bk fine, new mortgage offer is in the post and the probate solicitor has sent application for probate to be granted now that would be lovely to hear 🤞🤞🤞
    Any word today cookie?
They’ve finally stopped asking about my sick days and have moved onto asking questions about my intended maternity leave dates and pay. Thankfully it’s full pay for 26 weeks for me so that shouldn’t be a problem 🤞🏻
Yes valuation came back ,£12,000 under so we just asking vendor if they will reduce there price and meet us half way, fingers crossed they will, it’s killing me 🤯🤯
No way! Fingers crossed they’re willing to drop a bit 🤞🏻🤞🏻
  • Still nothing here
Underwriters are dealing with cases passed to them 14th May with one working day. So maybe we will hear tomorrow.
I am sick of the constant feeling of worry and dread

I know I feel the same, just so much waiting around and silence, stressed to the max, hopefully I will have a good answer tomorrow and maybe have a smile on my face lol

Oh Santander have done my nut in this time round... so we was approved a mortgage but the deposit isn’t classed as a gift our solicitor said so we have had had to re apply and my partners dad is now going onto the mortgage although we won’t be paying him anything back unless in 20 year we may need to.
So the men applied again and this time back and forth asking for documents before we even got to the underwriters. They asked for 3 salary payments on a bank statement before underwriters which my partner sent the exact same ones he had on his phone from the last application from over two weeks ago for them to come back and say they wanted a January 20th to Feb 20th one even though this statement he’s sent shows salary for feb,March and April. Instead of providing one he messaged them saying these exact statements show 3 salary payments and my application was approved last time. Not sure why he didn’t just send them but think he’s getting annoyed with the back and forth. Anyway finally after 10 days we are at the underwriters after they approved all documents sent. The property has already had a valuation on the previous application and just hoping they accept us this time as it’s taken longer than last time to be approved. We are borrowing the same amount. I have a really bad feeling about this though as we went through the process few weeks ago and they only asked for docs at the underwriters not before and it didn’t take this long!

I'd anyone getting repeat or silly questions? I THINK we are finally back with the underwriters today. We've had two rounds of questions where they've already had the documents or statements (asking for payslips they already have and asking for a covid statement they already have).

I'm having a similar problem after having a mortgage approved with no issues in November and now we've had to change the property they're being really picky as hubby is SE and they're treating it like a new application! Plus it was sent to the underwriters last weds (almost a week after receiving the accountants letter they requested!).

Not sure why underwriting is taking so long for us :(

Good luck to everyone still waiting xx
