    I applied on 23rd April.
Soft and hard credit search on the same day.
    Valuation booked on 7th May.
They requested for below documentation after valuation.
    1. 2020 and 2021 p60 for second job
    2. Breakdown of typical working work week including number of hours worked.
3.written confirmation that I am prepared to continue carrying out second job.
4.Confirmation if I will incur any child care costs.
Has any been asked these questions before?
I sent documents and answers on the 10th May but have not heard anything.
Stress is too much to bear?

Hi they asked us a few stupid questions then we had the offer, fingers crossed for u
We are trying to beat the June stamp duty deadline and can't afford decline at this stage.
    Thanks for the reassurance.
Did it take long after responding to their questions before you received your offer.

I can't believe you still haven't heard Cookie, why don't you give them a call tomorrow?
I know, emailed my broker this morning he said nothing have come bk, tried ringing him this afternoon and no answer 😭😭 now a weekend without knowing again as he don’t work weekends, I’m scared to ring them 😂😂
I get that. But I'd rather know, if it's good news you can relax for the weekend, and if its bad you've got to find out at least two days earlier and have time to start sorting what to do next. I'm sure it's fine though!

Welcome to the club Emilieeeeee! This process turns the most level headed sane people into nervous wrecks doesn't it, 8 months in and my nerves are shot! Hopefully you'll hear something soon although SE applications seem to take a bit longer than for the employed. Mine is back with the underwriters now 😬🤞
I literally couldn’t believe it when your name popped back on this thread! Some of these applications have been like a soap drama. Good luck and hang in there. Everything crossed that you get the news you need very soon!

Ah thank you! And I know, I can't believe it either. And mortgage issues are not even the half of the whole sorry story! But I don't want to depress everyone 😂 suffice to say though, I'll be amazed if we eventually pull this off as so much has gone wrong/against us so far.

Including the fact that our once complete chain is incomplete again, and our sellers are struggling to find somewhere 😬 I can feel another price reduction request from our buyers coming on as we have no chance of beating the deadline now, which was always going to be tight anyway. Other requests have been met with a no so I'm hoping they won't even bother...

Hopefully we'll all get the good news we deserve soon 😆

I feel your pain Cookie!!! Ours went back to underwriting queue on Tuesday morning and by close of business Friday, our broker still hadn’t had an update. I woke up a few times last night and each time it was the first thing that popped into my head - we’ll be 5 weeks in on Tuesday and I’m sick with nerves!

Fingers crossed 🤞🏻 I don’t know how much longer I can take 🙈😭 I honestly think your valuation will be grand, we were worried about ours as we had to bid to £15k over asking but it was all ok thankfully 😅

Sorry - first time buyer so this might be a silly question.

Our mortage has been accepted subject to valuation which is happening on 18/05 (Tuesday). If all goes to plan and the valuation is fine, will the offer be sent out? It doesn’t have to go back to underwriting or anything?

Hi yes I would think so, ring your broker tues/wed and ask if valuation was ok, we had a text the day after my broker told me from Santander to say full mortgage offer agreed
