Quick question for those of you who are nearly near the end.
My full application and supporting documents were submitted 08/04 and hard searches carried out. We have had an update today that a valuation has been booked for 22/04 and they are working their way through the underwriting process.
is booking a valuation a good sign? Or it this just standard protocol? Think I have been doing too much googling and reading about people being declined.
Also, if we get an offer, will this be after the valuation?

Need to get on the phone to Santander now! Taking too long is now causing you to potentially lose your sale!Cookie211 said:The seller have pulled out of the house 😭😭 my broker is on phone to the estate agent to see what he can do as the sellers house they are buying have fallen through and he’s saying we are taking ages 😭😭 not our fault it’s taking soooo long, fingers the seller changes his mind or we screwed0 -

Thanks for the info everyone. Just had confirmation that the valuation should be done today so hopefully we might hear something from the underwriters by the end of the week. Will probably just be a request for more documentation though lol...0

Booking a valuation is a good sign that you are in the running. Offers are always after valuation. And yes, one can get declined or get a slightly lower offer after underwriting is complete. It’s a very anxious process and we are in our 6th week now, but that’s owing to being self employed and a slightly complex case.lg220701 said:Quick question for those of you who are nearly near the end.
