Santander mortgage timeline

Just received the text confirming our mortgage offer. I can't believe how quick that was! The timeline ended up being:
07/04/2021 - MiP/soft credit check
08/04/2021 - Full application/ hard credit check/ told by MA that application was accepted subject to valuation.
12/04/2021 - Remote valuation/ handover to underwriters
13/04/2021 - Text confirming offer at 11:12.
So happy! Now the race is on to beat the stamp duty holiday.

Seems like being self-employed is a crime in this country. Not a lot of support from the government or the banks either

What a pain. Our application is self-employed too and was submitted on the 8th April so only last week but our mortgage advisor asked for all of those documents you mentioned before he submitted our application so that he could submit everything at the same time. (He asked us for our HMRC Tax calculations and overviews, 3 months of bank statements, my PAYE payslips in addition to my self employed HMRC earnings, as well as our pensions forecasts). Has your mortgage advisor dealt with self-employed applications before as assuming he would have known those documents would have been required?peacetrustlove said:I think Santander is just winding me up now.24/02 DIP24/02 Experian Soft Check02/03 Full Application05/03 Valuation Instructed11/03 Desktop Valuation15/03 Documents Requested16/03 Documents Submitted by MA16/03 Experian Hard Check18/03 Internal Valuation Instructed23/03 Internal Valuation Completed25/03 Valuation Report Received30/03 Existing property query. I've honestly started believing that my MA isn't very efficient. He should've known all this from the start.FtbEmz said:

Hopefully they won't need anything else now and can proceed quickly for you.peacetrustlove said:

That is horrific! I really hope they manage to pull their finger out and get you approved! Self employed people have had a hard enough time over the last year as it is without mortgage providers messing you about.peacetrustlove said:I think Santander is just winding me up now.24/02 DIP24/02 Experian Soft Check02/03 Full Application05/03 Valuation Instructed11/03 Desktop Valuation15/03 Documents Requested16/03 Documents Submitted by MA16/03 Experian Hard Check18/03 Internal Valuation Instructed23/03 Internal Valuation Completed25/03 Valuation Report Received30/03 Existing property query. The really crazy thing from our perspective is that we didn't put in our full application until about 18:00 Thursday 8th so really our approval only took 2 and a bit business days.0 -
Our application has been approved subject to a valuation on the 26th April! I’m so pleased!2
