The portal says mortgage accepted subject to final checks and valuation. Estate agent has said the valuation is booked on the 19th.
Anyone know how quickly things progress after the valuation?
Very impressed by how quickly santander have handled our application but slightly frustrated to have to wait 10 days for the valuation.0 -
We had a desktop valuation either on the same day or the day after we submitted our applicationFirstTB1983 said:The portal says mortgage accepted subject to final checks and valuation. Estate agent has said the valuation is booked on the 19th.

I have been enjoying reading through the thread here! I’m glad I’m not the only
one who was wishing away the bank holiday weekend and is refreshing the service levels page constantly
. I applied for our mortgage a few weeks back, using a mortgage advisor. There was a lot of back and forth and was told that our mortgage has been approved yesterday, but not for the full amount, which was frustrating. Luckily it is still doable. We are just waiting for the official offer now, but it feels like I’ve been waiting forever!!0 -
Exactly the same has happened to us. Get your MA to appeal it’s worth a try we have done that but won’t hear until Monday now. We still have the offer for 3k less just waiting to see if they overturn itOrchid12 said:I have been enjoying reading through the thread here! I’m glad I’m not the only

Unfortunately it was approved without the option to appeal, so no option but to go ahead with the lower amount. At least it’s not wasted money.lsim88 said:

Yes agreed it’s worth it when you get in the house and can start again with the saving haha! We will have to put our new bathroom on hold (or maybe not) not sure yet until Monday! Thankfully either way we know we have an offer just need that wonderful text to come throughOrchid12 said:

Hi ,
This is my first post about this , I thought I’ll share my progress so far
18.03 : house viewed and offer accepted
21.03 : DIP received from mortgage broker
23.03 : Memorandum of sale paper received from solicitors
28.03 : paperwork submitted to Santander , also soft search appeared on credit report.
And now i’m patiently waiting. The solicitor already started the searches on the 8th of April.Spoke with my mortgage broker and she said there’s no update yet.So I’m patiently waiting. Hopefully it will all go through smoothly.0 -
Do they given any reason for decline? Are you in furlough?031192vy353 said:Unfortunately we got declined as things stand but they're willing to reopen our case in 2 weeks when they see an updated payslip. The pain continues0
