Can I ask if you are buying a new built? Cuz your survey got instructed so quickly whilst I am still waiting despite my buyer put in their application on the 1st April?!funky1471 said:We've gone direct and here's what's happened so far, seems to be on track right?
7th April 3pm - Completed DIP
7th April 4.30pm - Full application submit
7th April 5pm - uploaded most recent payslip
8th April 3.30pm - email to say survey Instructed
8th April 4pm - email to ask about covid/furlough and to confirm that our payslips uploaded were accepted (just basically that they are legible and include the required info I believe)
Put our answers in to say we've not been on furlough or been impacted financially by it at 5PM today.
Surprised they've not asked for bank statements yet, is it normal for them to drip feed the questions like this?
Also the email mentioned they may not need to attend the property for the valuation (didn't think they were still doing remote valuations in 2021)0 -
Hey, no its not a new build, 1970s. Not sure if they are doing a desktop valuation or going to go in person (had assumed in person for an "older" house)MTS2509 said:

No idea how long it'll actually take for the valuation to be performed (depends on local surveyor availability maybe?) but we were pleased and surprised to get the email so quickly about it being instructed.
Is it possible yours has been instructed (and waiting for surveyor availability) but the info hasn't been passed on to the buyer?1 -
Here’s what our broker sent us today finally got an idea of what was going on!0 -
It was all asked for at once. Payslips and bank statement showing child benefit being paid infunky1471 said:
That seems to be moving pretty quickly then? What are the 3 documentation entries for? Was that the lender asking for more and more info?lsim88 said:

I am not sure if it’s because my buyer is going for a buy-to-let mortgage 🤷🏻♀️ but I might ask tomorrow to see if a survey has actually been instructed! Thank you though! If you don’t mind, can you let me know if you hear from an actual date for the survey please? I chased so many times with our estate agent now, they kept telling me it’s going to happen in 48-72 hrs; then again you will hear in the next few days 🤯 I am so stressed about the whole situation 😭! Good luck to the both of us eh:)funky1471 said:

How does that worklsim88 said:How do you find out if you have an offer? Our Mb doesn’t tell us anything we don’t even know what our product is that she’s chosen?! And we don’t have access to look as it was done through a MB Santander won’t tell us anything
Surely the mortgage broker is working for you and you should be completely aware of the product, the costs, the obligations, the progress and the next actions you must complete.
How does a mortgage broker choose a product? They may recommend but you choose in the full knowledge of the pros and cons and especially the affordability of the product!
There'll be claims of misselling next. Bizarre.0 -
We had our mip sent straight to us within a hour, we also had to sign forms to say it was fine to go ahead with the mortgage, my MB have been brilliant, kept us up to date with everything, even with me pestering him when I spoke to him in the morning then me emailing him or ringing him later on in the day,I did tell my MB I’m sorry for being a pain but he just tells me it’s fine and he totally understands lol we did have another MB back in jan and she was rubbish never got bk to us didn’t keep us up to date, so glad we found our new broker, he bloody amazinglsim88 said:
Yes you are quite right, they are working for us with the fee paid already! But as I said she put forward our application and hasn’t given us any information as to what she’s applied for! When we ask for updates or anything in regards to the application she always comes back with the same answer “everything will be fine don’t worry” I can send you email screenshots if you want to see proof of that?! It took us a good while to get the Dip certificate off her to give to the estate agent we are buying from as she said it wasn’t necessary for us to see it! Anything else Karen?BikingBud said:

Tbh at this point both me and my husband agreed we wish we had done it ourselves like the first time however she seemed very happy to help in the beginning and then since the fee was paid it’s all kind of gone silent and anything we ask the response is made as mentioned above. I think it’s very unprofessional however hoping we won’t need her for much longer!Cookie211 said:
