@josephgousto at what point did it go for underwriting?

@josephgousto good luck! My underwriting was done last Thursday and valuation was instructed on 23/2. I’m now waiting to hear back.

Hi, my valuation was instructed and passed to underwriting on the same day, does this mean valuation was fine? Thanks.

I’m probably not the best person to advise but ours was the same so I’m hoping it means what you have suggested however I have no idea!

It hasn’t yet no. Very nervous, they asked the MA for more info on Friday including why I had a default in 2017 - what happened for it to occur etc. They were aware of this as the MA mentioned it on the application for a DIP. Still im quite scared that it could get turned down because of this.

    It’s so stressful isn’t it!

I had some queries come back from the underwriter, all was resolved last Thursday.  From DIP to underwriting it was swift but now waiting, stressed and anxious about the outcome.

It’s strange that they don’t seem to do it in a set order for applicants? Everyone’s timeline is totally different. I hope you get an outcome soon and I hope I know by the weekend so I can try to relax a bit.

    update
Valuation has been instructed for the 5th time and for some reason they were phoning purple bricks estate agents to gain access to do the valuation when it's a private sale and asking Santander for more details. In order to speed things up  I ended up getting the seller to call the surveyors directly to book the appointment which has been booked for Wednesday so hopefully offer will be out Friday.

I think if It had been sold through an estate agent then things would have been easier.
