Santander mortgage timeline

Hi all,

Been watching this thread with great interest for some time whilst my own mortgage goes through the dreaded Santander mortgage process, I'm SE and my OH is E. But today it finally ended with an offer. Our timeline for interest was;

Application - 24/10
Passed to Underwriting - 29/10
Documentation requested - 01/12 (request for updated accounts as exceeded 18 months - they were extended and due as I applied)
Documentation requested - 17/12 (query on turnover)
Offer - 05/01

So a long ole wait but fortunately worth the wait this time around. Just need to get it all completed now as that's the next lot of nerves to be wracked in the meantime!

Hey guys! For those who have had their offer, how long did it take for your solictor to receive your mortgage offer from your bank?

I had my offer on 31st and buyers getting impatient now.

It depends on when your completion date is. Normally we’d apply for it a few days in advance of completion so it’s sat in their client account ready for completion day 👍🏻
