What sort of things were they asking for?Bad123 said:
Our mortgage was agreed the same like you and they did the evaluation but than they asking for things one at time just try and give everything at once so they don't delay you like ours .Thoksy said:We have just received a message from MB that mortgage has been agreed subject to a satisfactory valuation. To recall we applied on 16th November as SE and E and an additional doc is requested just before Christmas and today designing made. Waiting to see how much offer they will give us?

But santander which my husband and I applied for a remortgage our application was submitted on the 17th of November and still waiting for our offer our broker said the underwriters are delaying everyone by asking for things and putting us in the back of the queue which takes 6 working days for the underwriters to look at again and ask for another thing 😅 iam still waiting for our offer still 😅0 -

Hoping someone can help give me an idea of what stage I'm at and what to expect?
Record created - DONE
Application Info received - DONE
Appointment Booked (For Weds 13th Jan) - DONE
In the meantime, Santander have been on to me asking me to provide a P60 and to clarify stuff on our wage slips.
What will happen with my appointment on Weds? What sort of stuff will they go through?
Will they send the application pack in the post? I take it that the pack is a huge pack with lots of information to fill in?
Me and my wife have already had hard searches performed on us on Experian, will they go back and look at Experian or is that stage over with?
Would appreciate your help on this, thanks.0 -
Assuming you are applying direct to Santandar and not through a broker? When i recently applied, the mortgage advisor for Santander filled out the application whilst I was on the phone, it was then passed to the underwriters straight away and the application form just sent to us to sign - underwriters looked at it before they had received the signed copy - the mortgage advisor said we would have a decision within a week, which I was very skeptical about and rightly so - it actually took 9 days from application to offer! Understand this doesn't seem to be the norm and we may have just been very lucky.Woowar99 said:Hoping someone can help give me an idea of what stage I'm at and what to expect?

Yes, we went straight to Santander as we have had our current mortgage with them for 10 years and never any problems other than us having to take a mortgage holiday for 5 months last year. All good now, both employed and both jobs secure with loads of disposable income.
Just thought the 'application pack' would involve them posting out a large document for us to go through and fill in and then have to send back?
The way you have described it is much better though so fingers crossed that is the case for us. Cheers0
